What is Yellow?
Yellow is the sun shining on me
Yellow is the sweetness of the candy corn
Yellow is the nice hot fire
Yellow is the bee chasing me
Yellow is the power block that Mario hits
Yellow is the inside the flower that is very pretty.

Fact Poem
Jupiter
Jupiter
I like it
Ask me why.
Because it is the King Planet
Because it has a storm that is twice as big as Earth
Because Jupiter is the fifth planet
Because Jupiter got it's name after the king of the Roman Gods.
Because Jupiter is a gas planet
Because Jupiter also has rings to.
Because Jupiter has color stripes
Because Jupiter is a planet

Mother's Day Tickets
Garrett gave me three tickets for Mother's Day. They have sat on my dresser since Mother's Day. I was thinking what do I want Garrett to do. Well, I finally came up with the perfect thing for him to do. I gave him the ticket and he looks at me with alarm on his face. He is wondering what I am going to ask him to do. I tell him it is an easy thing. I then go on to tell him that I want a hug every single day for a whole month. A real hug every day! He looked at me totally shocked like I was asking him to commit some horrible crime. And if you know Garrett, he isn't the affectionate type. But he gave me a hug yesterday and he gave me a hug today. I am looking forward to a month of hugs from my son. Maybe by the end of the month he will like them too.

Silly Jokes
Garrett really loves silly jokes. So I started writing down a joke for him and putting it in his lunch box. I don't know very many jokes so I went on a search for jokes. Silly crazy jokes that a 2nd grade boy would like and get. I have found some fun ones.
Garrett loves getting them so much that he has started to open his lunch before lunch and sometimes before he even leaves home to read his jokes. He likes to share them with the kids he sits with at lunch. Garrett has a hard time making friends so I hope this gives him something to talk to them about. After school he writes down the jokes into his journal.
He likes the jokes so much he even asked if I would keep giving him a joke at lunch even when school lets out. So I am still on the look out for jokes. If you have any good ones let me know.

Recliner
Our old rocking reclining chair that I got when I was pregnant with Devin broke. So for my birthday Jeremy got me a new chair. It is so soft and comfy. It is everyone's favorite place to sit.

So to appease the farmers they started carrying wine to give to people when they landed and that is why they a celebratory toast today. Though he had Sparkling Apple Cider for non-drinkers.
Balloon Jokes: Where does a balloon land?
On the Ground!
They used two big fans to inflate the balloon.
And a little fire!
In the basket, getting ready for take off.
These two balloons were taking off right after us.
I love the shadows! Our balloon is the one that is just a little higher.
I thought that the sunglasses and smiley face was really cool. The dirt bike trails look really amazing.
There was some kind of balloon festival going on because there were tons of balloon out today. We counted at least 10 while we were in the air.
We went down pretty low and were pretty close to these neighborhoods. We were trying to find a place to land and the wind kept pushing us in different directions.
We finally were able to land in a parking lot and this guy had to pull us in.
The balloon deflating.
Afterward they gave a celebratory toast. Because we are now official "Balloon-a-tics"

Soccer Team
Olivia plays both defense and offense.
Here she is giving her friend a high five after she scored another goal.
She is aggressive and goes after the ball. After one game she said, "Mom, I knocked that girl down and didn't even feel bad about it."
What are the boys doing why she is playing? They go and play at Neptune Park right across from the soccer field. They love going to her games.

Dry Ice Bath
Jeremy for the ward talent show put on his lab coat and did his dry ice bubble, and some other dry ice experiments. We had some left over dry ice. So Devin was taking a bath (yes with his clothes on) and we decided to throw in a small piece of dry ice. He was in heaven. He was having a blast playing in the vapors. Afterward the other kids wanted a dry ice bath too. No pictures of them though.

Train Table
The train table is gone! My friend bought it and came and got it today. We are cleaning out the pink room so that we can move Olivia back upstairs into the pink room. Then Jenn will be able to move back in and take that room. We got the train table a couple of years ago for the kids for Christmas and at first they loved it a lot and played with it a lot. Then the train stuff got taken off the table and it became a lego table. Then the kids pretty much turned it into a pile all of our junk there table. So we packed it all up and it is gone. Not one of the kids acted sad that I was getting rid of it.
I guess I am the only one who is sad. Not because the train table is gone but that the kids are growing up so fast and this is just another way that shows that they are getting big and no longer play with things like trains tables.
But as I am sitting here writing this, the two boys are playing with cars and action figures. So I guess they are still like playing with toys and can be little for a while longer.

Getting Ready for West Virginia
We bought plane tickets to WV!!! We will leave from Vegas on June 27th and come back July 24th. We are so excited! So in honor of WV we did s'mores in our backyard. Making S'mores is one of their favorite things to do. We don't use the fire pit that often but we sure like having one.
