Camping at Rockport

We finally decided to give camping a chance. We went with Jenn to Rockport state park. It has a pretty good size lake where you can swim and kayak. We got a primitive camp site (meaning using portal potties) near the lake. The weather was beautiful, the lake wasn't too cold, and it was breezy so it wasn't too hot. It was a great weekend. We took kites and they almost flew themselves. The bat kite we hooked to a chair and he flew all day.

We watched the sunset that night, and then later that night we watched the Moon Rise.
It was a full moon and a lunar eclipse was happening but we couldn't see the eclipse in North America. We also got out the telescope and looked at the stars. We saw Mars, Venus and Jupiter too.

Olivia's Day

Olivia went with her Friend Mariana to visit her young women's leader at work who works at the National Guard and they let her sit in one of their helicopters.   She was talking about now joining the National Guard after highschool to continue medical training as a medical assistant.

I thought that it was appropriate then for her Date Night with us to go and see Mission Impossible with her.

Curiosity Museum

I took Garrett, Devin and Andi to the Curiosity museum again. The boys did the ropes course and Andi and I played in some of the the different areas.
They had these cool toys out called Code a pillar.  Andi really liked them.  I thought this would make a good Christmas present.  By Chance I found them on sale for 10.79 at Target normally 35.99.    Score!

She also in the building room, they had some new blocks and made a lot of pyramids.

Jeremy's 43rd B-DAY

We celebrated all day for Jere's birthday. We went to the Provo Rec Center to play and swim, came home and had bacon burgers and fries. I surprised him with a homemade ice cream cake. Then because it is also pioneer day in Utah we went and watched fireworks that other people had bought to shoot off illegally since there was a ban on fireworks since we have had such a dry summer.  For his birthday we got him lots of treats and an air fryer which he has been talking about wanting one for ages.  We finished off the night with sparklers.

Leaving

We are headed back to Utah on a Jet a plane and lucky for us we got to see the sunset in the air for hours because we were changing time zones.   We love these trips to West Virginia to visit my family.  We create a lot of good memories together.

Plum Orchard Lake

Mom and Dad moved last November but I really wanted to go back and get a few pictures.
