Art class Week 3

This week this class work did a lot of shading.    I think I have a long way to go before it looks realistic.

We had to do 3 different eggs with different technique.  I am so glad that you tube has lots of examples on how to do this kind of stuff.

Andi at Dance Class

Andi is loving Dance class.  She looks forward to it and wishes everyday was dance class day.   This past Wednesday they had a Moana day and they got to wear grass skirts and leis and dance to one of the songs.  She is pretty dang cute.

Livvy's Date Night

Livvy for her date with us wanted to go Shoe Shopping. We took her first to Texas Road House for dinner. Then we went to the mall to look at shoes. Shoes in the mall are expensive. But in the mall we did find a Payless shoe store and she found some cute shoes for her Sweethearts dance this weekend. Then we ended our date at her favorite place the Cheesecake Factory. We had a gift card for the cheesecake factory which was super nice.

Art Class Week 2

This is the 2nd week of my art class.  We had to sketch and old shoe.  I had no idea how to draw a shoe so I found a step by step tutorial on how to draw a shoe.  I think it looks okay.  

This assignment was playing with different media.  I had no idea there were so many different medias.  I really liked the water color crayon and pencil.  I thought those would be fun to use. I didn't love the charcoal or pastel they were both really messy.

This assignment we had to do a gray scale using three different medias. 

Here are my weekly sketches.  We are required to sketch 3-4 extra pictures each week on top of other assignments.   I did a dinosaur, Legos, a gorilla, and apples and flowers.  I don't think I have drawn this much in my life. My Legos don't look right.

Devin's Birthday

Devin's birthday is the last of our January birthdays. He also got breakfast in bed. I got up and made him biscuits and eggs and hot chocolate. We had one of his favorite dinners that night with Jen. I made turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls and broccoli, and make a Lava Brownie for dessert.  Then we opened presents from family.

Devin's Birthday Party

For Devin's birthday party I made him a Pickachu cake.   I think he turned out pretty cute.

For his party we took him and 6 boys to the Curiosity museum to do the Canopy Ropes tour.  They all had a good time thought a few of them were a little scared but they were all able to do it.

After the Ropes tour we came back for cake and games.   They played spoons, pictionary, and apples to apples.  They also played with the balloons on the parachute and they really loved popping all the balloons.

They all had a good time.  Who knew that 7 boys could be so loud!

Snowy and Icy Roads

Livvy was taking Andi to Krissa's while Devin's Birthday party was going on.  The roads were worse than we thought.   She was stopped at stop light and another car couldn't stop and hit her.  Andi yelled at Livia, "Never do that again!"   Everyone was fine.  But Andi fell asleep on while waiting for the police to show up.

Side note:  Today, as I was pulling out of the garage, there was so much snow I didn't notice that Livvy's car was not parked all the way on her side. So as I pulled out of the drive way I bumped her car.  So now she has a dent in the front and back.

Snowy Saturday

Winter finally decided to show up.  We finally got some snow.  Andi came in and woke us and and yelled that she wanted to make a snowman.  Olivia wanted to take her to the park to go sledding.  Devin, Olivia, and Andi all had a great time.
