Devin, 3 Months Old

Devin's been a bundle of joy this week. He talks and laughs pretty easily. He's also learned to suck on his fingers. He's such a slobber bucket! Robin tried to get a picture of him smiling real big, but as soon as he saw the camera, all he would do is make faces like the one in the bottom picture.

Teacher Talent Video

A teacher on my grade level directed and edited this video. I ran the camera for quite a few of the shots that I'm not in. We showed it to the whole school and everyone enjoyed it. My favorite part is where Padeken shows off his ninja skills at the end.

Last Spring Break pictures

We spent most of the rest of Spring Break relaxing, fixing the kitchen sink, and growing out facial hair (just me). I thought it might be fun growing a goatee during the break, unfortunately the hair came in red and gray so it had to go.

Olivia's next story

She spent a long time on the first couple of pages of this story and then finished the rest this afternoon. We love her creativity!

Devin's at it again

We really don't force him to do this. Most of the times you pick him up his legs instinctively go into stand position.

Spring Break, Day 5: Girls' Day Out

I got Robin a gift certificate to a salon for her birthday last month, and today she took Olivia and Jennifer to get pampered at the spa. Olivia didn't know where they were going until they got there. Once she found out she exclaimed, "We get to be girls!" She got a couple Fancy Nancy books from Grandma Brunner for her birthday last year and she keeps going on and on about how "posh" she looks now. They all got manicures and pedicures. Garrett and I went and got haircuts.

Spring Break, Day 4

Today we went to the library for storytime. Olivia was the only school-aged kid there, but she and Garrett both had fun. It was so cute--at one point we looked down and Olivia and Garrett were just witting there holding hands. After lunch, we took the kids to the park to fly kites, blow bubbles, and play on the equipment. It wasn't quite windy enough for the kites (they had to run constantly!), but everyone still had a great day.

Our Future Caldecott and Newbery Winners

Olivia wrote this story and had Garrett help her color. Not bad for a 7 year old and a 4 year old.

Devin Laughing

Spring Break, Day 3

Today we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Devin slept for most of it. The kids were excited to see all the different skeletons, color a dinosaur scene, and play in the sand.

Spring Break Day 2

We woke up and saw the weather today and were so glad we went to the zoo yesterday. It's been windy, rainy, and snowy all day!

We took all the kids to see Horton Hears a Who today. Olivia really liked it, but Garrett says he didn't. We thought it was cute. Afterwards, we went a couple shops down and had cookies and ice cream. We love Spring Break!
