New Year Eve

Mom and Dad left on New Years Eve. We had just a nice time with them. We were sad to see them leave but we are so thankful that we go to spend Christmas with them.

Also on New's Year Ever, Olivia went to a Stake Dance with her besties: Maddie, Kathleen and Krissa.

Olivia's 2nd Date: Ice Skating

Over the break, Olivia's friend Caleb called and asked her on a group date to go ice skating and then got to Denny's Afterward. She was excited to go on another date. I think she had a great time with her friends.

Popcorn Balls

One of my favorite things at Christmas time when I was growing was helping my Dad and Mom make popcorn balls. I talked my Dad into making them while he was here. I had already bought the molasses. They are so good!

Here is the recipe according to my mom and she learned it from Grandma Doolittle. (Dad's Grandma) Jar of Grandma's Molasses
This much brown sugar
This much Karo Syrup
1 stick of margarine
Boil until it becomes hard tac in ice water.
4 Big Bowls of Popcorn-Remove all the unpopped kernels.
 No Candy thermometer needed.
Pour Molasses mixture over the popcorn.
I guess I will not be replicating this recipe.

Christmas in Color

For Christmas I bought Mom and Dad Christmas in Color tickets. I love this light show. It is 20 dollars per car but it is so much fun. The lights and the music are synchronized.  We wanted to go around again it was so fun.

Here is a small sample but it was just really exciting.  It took about 30 minutes to drive through the park in Provo.

Enjoying Christmas Day

Lounging in the new leggings from Emily.

Bouncing with the Bouncy Ball.

Playing with the Sand

And Building puzzles

Then an awesome Christmas Dinner.

Opening the Presents

We didn't go to church because it had snowed a lot the night before and the roads had not been plowed yet so we had a Christmas Devotional with Olivia playing some Christmas music she has learned on the guitar. Then we enjoyed opening the gifts.

It was very nice to have Grandma and Grandpa Doolittle here to celebrate with us.

The kids got lots of fun things.  We appreciate all the gifts from Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents.

Christmas Stockings

The kids are all downstairs (except for Andi but we took her down as soon as she woke up) so they could come up the stairs to see the presents and stockings.  They got lots of Goodies in the stockings from Santa.
