Christmas in WV

The girls and I went to WV and the boys went to Vegas. We had a Christmas party with my brother and sister and their families and my Pappy came. I was so glad I got to see him. I am so glad that I got to go and spend time with them. It was a great and relaxing trip.

Andi with Pappy.  She was tired from the trip and the best time to hold her was when she was sleeping or she was a little grouchy.

And Me with Pappy.  I miss him.  I try to call him each week but it is nice to see him in person.

Andi and Grandpa.  She took a little time to get used to everyone but everyone loved her.

Of course she loved opening presents, especially if it was in bag that she could easily take things in and out.

Christmas

It's tradition to come up the stairs Christmas morning together and get your picture taken

And maybe we took Andi downstairs on Christmas morning to come up with the other kids.

Andi was pretty fascinated with her stocking.

I love all their new Christmas Jammies that they opened on Christmas Eve.

Andi opening her presents.  At first she was really in to it. But then she didn't want to open any more but she was more than happy to play with them once they were opened.

Jenn got Andi this little walking toy.  She loved to cruise around the room.  She was really fast.  She would get stuck and we would have to help her turn. 

Andi got a Climbing toy and this is the box that it came in.  Once again, Why don't I just give them boxes?

We had a wonderful Christmas morning with Hot chocolate and Cinnamon rolls and fun opening all the presents.  We appreciate Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles for all the fun the things.

Santa's Hat

Jere got a Santa hat from his school.  He was wearing it and had Andi on his shoulders and she had a great time taking it off. 

Pinterest Painting Idea

Olivia found this idea on Pinterest of painting with no mess. Jenn came over today with all her paints and we tried it. All the kids seemed to have fun painting in the bag. It was squishy and fun!

So this is Andi's first art project!

Dog Toys

I got Jack some new dog toys for Christmas. Jack found his gift early and tore into it. Jack and Andi then had a little tug-a-war with the toys. She would grab it from him and crawl off then he would come and take it from her and walk off. Then she would go back and try to get it again. It was pretty funny to watch.

P.S. I have no idea where the bow on Andi's head came from.

Devin can not get enough of Andi.  He wants to get her out of her crib each morning.  He loves to play with her,  chase were while crawling. 

Share the Gift

Last week we had a FHE on the First Gift of Christmas. We watched the video "He is the Gift" from Mormon.org. Then we talked about how we could share the gift.  We really like having Christmas Family Home Evenings in the month of December.

Devin is the Star of the Week

Devin finally got to be the star of the week. Being the star of the week means you are the President that week and get to lead the class in daily Calendar activities.  We knew this week was coming we got a paper a month ago letting us know that we would have to make a poster.  Well, we dropped the ball on that.  On Monday, Devin says, "Mom, we forgot to do my poster."  Jeremy runs to store and get poster board and I hurry and look for pictures of him and some of his favorite things to print.  We finished just before it was time to go to school.  Then Devin starts complaining that his stomach hurts. Then he runs to the bathroom... So he stayed home for school.  Good thing we rushed to get this poster done.  But he is a star.  He is super smart, helpful, a great big brother.
