Butterflies Biosphere and Icecream

They had out huge millipedes from Africa that you could hold.

This is my favorite picture!!!!

We also took Devin's friend, James with us.

Garrett had two butterflies land on him this time.

We took Vickie and Earl and Cynthia to the Butterfly Exhibit for Ice cream.

Afterward we went across the street to the Water Tower for ice cream cones.

Duck Duck

There are two ducks who have taken up residence in our neighborhood.  I think they are lost.  But we enjoy watching them and the girls love feeding them.

Andi's Dance Picture Day

Andi had her pictures taken at dance.  My neighbor and babysitter helped me do her hair so she would be ready when I need to take her right after I got home from work.  This is her friend Chelsea,  who is also in her class.

Outstanding Teacher of the Year

I got awarded for the outstanding teacher of the year this year.    It was a nice surprise!  My principal said some really nice things about me and awarded me for my hard work.

Here is what was written in the paper by my principal Gary Gibb:

Robin Brunner is the educational technology teacher at Alpine School District’s Springside Elementary School in Saratoga Springs.
This role gives her the opportunity to influence every child at our school as they come to her classroom or as she goes to theirs. Robin is always prepared with something engaging and useful for students to learn about in the computer lab. But she doesn’t limit her instruction to a seat in front of a screen.
Mrs. Brunner consistently looks for ways to integrate technology. You will often find her students on the floor practicing coding to program robots. In fact, if you ever have money to spend, Mrs. Brunner always has a robot she wants to buy.
This year, the school asked specialty teachers to become more engaged in integrated learning within the classroom. Mrs. Brunner and the specialty team created a schedule that allows them to go into teacher classrooms and teach lessons side by side with classroom teachers. Last week, our fifth graders were using large world maps to program robots to travel through the 13 colonies. She’s very willing to help, and makes suggestions about how she can be involved at our school.
Most of all, Mrs. Brunner loves what she does, and she loves the students she works with. She is consistently prepared and completely dependable. For Robin, there are no excuses about learning, and that includes herself. She is pleasant at all times, knows her 900 students by name and pays attention to them all. We are all impressed by her dedication to our school, and proud to honor her as an outstanding teacher at Springside Elementary.

Andi and the Bunny

Andi really likes the bunny.  Livvy lets her out to run around in the yard.   Andi catches her and loves on her.
Sadly this is the last picture of the bunny.  It disappeared from the yard and we haven't seen it since.

Easter

We did our traditional Easter day egg hunt and egg coloring and made a lot of deviled eggs.   Garrett made the bunny cookie.  Andi loved sorting all the eggs by color and making a rainbow of them.   We love these fun traditions but we also remember the reason why we celebrate Easter.

It is because of Him.

Olivia's Second Prom

Since Livvy and Quinn go to a different high schools.  She gets to go to another Senior Prom.

Tulip Festival

One of my favorite things to do in the spring is go to the Tulip Festival at Thansksgiving point.  Jere and I met Jenn and her friend Vince and explored the gardens for a couple of hours.
