More Birthday Things

Happy Birthday Olivia!

I wrapped all of her things in cupcake wrapping paper because we just finished reading a book "It's Raining Cupcakes" and we both loved the book.

I love her expression as she is looking at a pop tart box we wrapped it in.

A coin purse from Emily to go with her new purse from us.

The boys loved "helping" open her presents.  They got her this lego set.

She was very brave when they pierced her ears.

Jenn joined us for lunch and they had fun eating with "pork chops"

She wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.  I had to decorate it a little bit.

11 candles

I love getting these pictures where they are blowing out the candles.  I get it from my Dad, these were his favorite pics. too.

Ear Rings and a Flaming Lunch

For Olivia's 11th birthday we went and got her ears pierced. She was very excited. Doesn't she look cute?

We also took her out to lunch at a Tepanyaki Grill. She had never been to one and really enjoyed the show (the food? Not so much).

2nd Grade Performance

Yesterday, Garrett had his 2nd grade Halloween program.  They learned 10 songs and a poem to share with us.  The kids got to dress up in their costumes. You could tell the songs Garrett liked because he was all into the actions and had great expressions.  The ones he didn't like he would just stand there.  He did a great job.

In the group of 2nd graders, there were 3 Marios, and 3 Luigis and one Yoshi-Garret.

Pumpkin Patch

We like to take the kids to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins for Halloween every year.  We went this past Monday with Jennifer and Chema and his kids.  By the time we got there it was already dark but the kids still had a great time.

The nice thing about this place is that they will take you on hayrides for free.

Plus they have tractors the kids can play on.

And there is a truck full of pumpkins that the kids can climb in and play on the pumpkins.

This is a pumpkin that is at Harvest Elementary.   Devin couldn't resist sitting on it.

Las Vegas

Jeremy and I went and saw the Lion King performance here in Vegas.  His brother got us 1/2 off tickets.  The show was amazing.
