Playing Cards With Grandpa

 While the women were over at Bethany's, the boys played Contract Rummy.

Stephens Lake

 

We went to Stephen's Lake for a day on a hot Tuesday.  Hot as in 80 degrees.   They have these really fun water inflatables to play on.  The kids had a blast.  We went with Nikki and two of her kids Destiny and Dayvon.  Emily came with us with Josh.    They had a good time.    This was really the only day that we saw Josh this trip.  He was working a lot. 

Devin's WV Date

Devin wanted his Date to be in WV.  We went miniature golfing at a WV themed golf course.   All the holes were based on places or things in WV.   IT was fun.  We are not golfers, we had several redos, and it often took a lot of hits to get it in the hole.  Devin was the only one who got a hole in one. 

Babcok State park

 We went to Babcock state park to play in the River.   As soon as we got there it started to rain.  Then we decided to play in the water anyway.  I took the kids down to the river and we went to the waterfall.  Destiny and I were heading to the fall and we were about up to our waists when a snake swam between us.  Then we saw two more snakes.  We were done!  I was not going to swim in snake infested water.  It didn't stop Dayvon and Devin though.  They just laughed at us.  These snakes are not poisonous but I still didn't want to be anywhere near them.   Other than the snakes, it was a fun afternoon with cousins. 

This little critter is called a hellgrammite.

Monday's Birthday BBQ

 Mom wanted for her birthday to have a get together.  We had a hot dog roast and enjoyed spending time around the fire.   The kids played kick ball and night games afterwards. 

Cathedral Falls

 There is a pretty amazing waterfall that isn't too far from Hawks nest.  We drove to see them and we enjoyed playing in the water.  They had extra water in them since we just had a huge rainstorm the day before.
