Grandview

Jere and decided we wanted to take the kids to Grandview to see the overlooks and to go on the little hike that was really cool. 

 

Andi

Andi loved playing with Maisie.  

She loves snuggling with Grandpa

She loves Eve

 She loves being in West Virginia with Grandma and Grandpa Doolittle. 

Rainy Day

Eve and Andi played. They are so cute!  We went to a local bakery cupcakes and cookies,  went to Emily's to enjoy some time in the hot tub, and of course since it was raining, we spent time playing in the rain.  Olivia would just run out in the rain.  It was like she was a little girl again. 

Date night at Grandview

The view is still spectacular wether you see if from one side or the other. 

Jere and I went on a date while we were there.  We went to dinner, El Campstre, a really good Mexican Restaurant.  Then went to Grandview and went on a short hike to a tunnel, then we went to Pesqually's, an Italian Restaurant for desert.   

 Mom said that she had heard the chocolate cake was the best there. So I ordered the cake and Jeremy got the cheesecake.  I also ordered a piece of cake to go for Mom.   It was a really good cake.  

Cathedral Fall, Hawks Nest, and Sweet Frog

We went to Cathedral Falls, it was about a 45 minute drive there.  The falls normally have more water but it was still pretty. 

Then we stopped at Hawks nest for a short walk to another overlook. 

I love that my parents were with us for our adventures. 

Then we stopped at sweet frog on the way home for frozen yogurt. 

 

New River Gorge Bridge

The new river gorge bridge is so beautiful.  I love looking at the bridge, the river, the rafters.  

Dad even got in the river and played.  

 And of course we go and play in the water after we take our pictures. 

SunSet on the Gorge

 We went to a Gorge overlook for a sunset.  We didn't see much of a sunset but it sure was beautiful.  Plus Andi was having fun catching fireflies.

At the house

My parents have this great swing in their back yard.  It is just relaxing to go and sit and swing on the swing. 

I got hair chalk and we colored Eve's and Andi's hair.  They sure are cute. 

Sandstone Falls

We drove down to Sandstone falls, near Hinton, which is about 45 minutes away.  There was a wooden walkway.  When you got to the end of the walkway you could actually go down to the river and play in it. The falls were so pretty.  I love all the beautiful waterfalls and green trees in WV.
