It seems like we just put pictures like these up here, but we just got these and had to share:

A note from my daughter

The weather has been pretty bad here this week. We had snow on our front lawn again this morning. The temperature wasn't that cold though so at my school we were going to have it be an "outside" day. I had a meeting this morning before school so I wasn't in my office. Once school started though I went into my office and found a Post-it note Olivia had written and left on my desk. Here's the note:

Stake Conference

We had Stake Conference yesterday. A new stake was created from the two Saratoga Springs stakes. Since it involved 27 wards, they held the conference in one building and broadcasted the proceedings to the 10 chapels in the stake. After sitting through an hour of the conference the kids started getting restless. Garrett leaned over to me and asked,
"How long is this movie?"

Saving money

We decided that we are spending too much money on haircuts (Fantastic Sam's is now charging $13 to cut my hair). So today we built up our courage, bought some clippers, and cut Garrett's hair. Hehehe little guinea pig.
At first, he did really well. He commented on how sitting on our chair on the front porch was just like the "haircut place". That lasted for about 2 minutes. Then he was ready to be done.
At one point he kept moving his head so we told him, "Hold still or your hair will be funny looking." Not 10 seconds later he started to shake his head while I was cutting it. We told him to hold still and he said, "I want funny hair."
He did start to get cold, but he did pretty good and a few minutes later, we were done. He did not want to pose for us for a final picture though. We'll get a better one in the next few days.

Starting a Rock Band

Did you notice Devin hitting the dog in the nose with the mic?

If I had a dime...

for every view:

Yea! I'm up to 150,000 views. I actually had a student at my school tell me last week that he was on YouTube and found my videos. Does that make me famous? I'll be singing autographs later.

My sister sent this to me and I thought that it was pretty cool.

Photoshop Elements

Jeremy got me Photoshop Elements for my birthday. Here is my first attempt. It took a really long time to do this. I'm hoping it gets easier as I do it more. Click on the picture to get a better look at the pictures. The pictures are of us spending an hour at the park yesterday enjoying the nice weather. Not too hot and not too cold. We are so excited for spring to come.

Water Baby

Devin loves to take baths. If he hears the water running he will run in and try to climb in the tub. He doesn't like to wait until you have him undressed. He can play in the tub for a long time.

I think he likes the dishwasher so much just because he has the possibility of playing in a little bit of water and he loves to help "unload" the dishwasher. He likes to grab spoons or bowls out of the dishwasher then run off with them.

Also if you take a closer took at the dishwasher picture you can get a good view of his teeth. He now has 8 teeth 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom.

Got Bills?

A few weeks ago we started using a finance website called mint.com.
I highly recommend it! It imports all your information from other financial websites and creates all kinds of reports to help you manage your money. It's way better than anything else out there that I've seen. Robin and I are actually tracking where our money goes--which in the 11+ years we've been married, we've rarely ever done. And oh, by the way, IT'S FREE!

Road Constuction

They have been working on the street near our house for a long time now. Sometimes I get so sick of the construction, and extra delays, and more traffic. I have to drive on this road to get anywhere. It normally takes me about 25 minutes to get to work. Some days it has taken 50 minutes just because of this one road.

But I guess this is kind of a like any challenge. It isn't always fun to go through but in the end you end up with something better.

FHE Fun

We've started rotating responsibilities for Family Home Evening. Tonight, Robin did a great lesson on Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. Olivia chose the songs. I made chocolate milkshakes for a treat. And Garrett picked the game.

He picked Dance Dance Revolution. As you can see, it was pretty fun. Make sure you watch Olivia in the background!
