First Day of School

Devin: 2nd grade!  He was super excited.  When asked who he wanted for a teacher he just said he wanted the nicest teacher.  He was ready to go with shoes and backpack on by 6:30.  We didn't need to leave until 7:45.

Olivia: 9th Grade!  This is technically her first year of high school but she is still at the middle school.  She is taking some hard classes this year.  She is in Honors Math, and Honors Biology.  She says she wanted easier classes because this is the first year that her grades really matter.  She will do great.

Garrett: 6th Grade.  He is excited to start 6th grade.  He got Mr. Christofferson for his teacher and he thinks that he will be good.

Andi: Going to Anna's.  She was very sad when every one else left.  She kept calling their names: Liva, De De, and Gar over and over again.

My first day of school was dress like a pirate to match our school theme this year: Teach Like a pirate.  There was even a pirate ship at the front of the school.

Here is to another great year!

Yuba Lake State Park

Nate and Betsy invited us to go to Yuba lake with them. They were in town to help Aspen to change apartments at BYU. We had never been there, but we thought it sounded like fun and we hadn't seen them for a while. WE LOVED YUBA LAKE! It had beaches, and warmer water. It was a beautiful day and it was about an hour and half away.  We swam, fished, dug holes, played in the sand, made mud holes and played in them.
They rented Jet Skis and paddle boards and we had fun on those too.  It was a great day.  We were there for 10 hours. I packed sandwiches for lunch and hotdogs for dinner. We built a fire in a pit right on the beach.  We will definitely go back.  Jenn came and joined us half way though the day. She ended up spending the night and camping there.

Walk at the Gardens

We enjoy going to the gardens for walks. Well, I do at least. Every time we go we ending walking different ways and seeing new things and really enjoying the beauty of the garden. Devin takes my camera and takes pictures of the flowers that he really likes.

Babysitting

I had meetings I had to go this past week and Livvy stayed home and babysat for me. She got paid with NEW SHOES! She came up with idea to create water bags and let the kids jump and play on them. I think it was a fun idea and the kids liked it. She was also babysitting a neighborhood kid, Alisha.
