Devin brought home a cookie book from the library. He know it was his turn for the treat so he wanted to make one of them for the treat. He choose to the Giant Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. I think they turned out pretty good. I didn't eat one, but everyone else loved them. He even took 2 and cut them in half to take to school to share with a few friends.

At the park
I now work some Mondays to teach Kindergarten. Jeremy has taken some of the Mondays off so he didn't lose vacation days. He brought Andi and met me for lunch and we went to a park near my school. It was so fun to meet them for lunch and play at the park with Andi. She loved to play on the monkey bars.

Alpine Loop
After the retreat on Saturday Morning, Jenn and I drove the Alpine loop to see the beautiful fall colors. Even though it was a little rainy the colors and the mountains were beautiful. It was a fun time with my sister. I love that she lives close for us to do fun things with her.

RS Retreat
Jenn and I went to a RS retreat up at the Heber Valley Girls camp. We stayed in cabins. IT was a snowy cold evening but it was fun to be up in the mountains taking a break from everyday life. I was glad Jenn went with me.

Fathers and Sons
I took Garrett and Devin on the Fathers and Sons campout this year. We went to Lake Creek Campground east of Heber City. It was fun but it seemed like there were really only 20 other people who went. We stopped at a couple of fishing points on the way home, but didn't catch anything.

Kid Date Night
We have been taking the kids out on monthly dates. August was Garrett's Month and we took him to breakfast and Kneaders and then Jere took him fishing.
September was Devin's month and we took him out to lunch after his Saturday Soccer game and then we took him to see the new Ice Age Movie. He loved the movie and laughed out loud several times. Sometimes we forget that he is just 8. We are glad we have started doing these dates with kids so we can get to spend some time with them and get to know them a little bit better.
We will take Olivia out in October. I bet she chooses the cheese cake factory again.

Devin's Fall Soccer
We signed up Devin to play fall soccer again. He really loves playing and he really loved being on the team with his friend, James. He will probably play again in the spring.
Here he is in action!

Hot Air Balloon.
The youth had an activity in the park, Saturday monring, where they had a hot air balloon ride. It was part of the reward for bishop's challenge. We walked to the park to show Andi the balloon. Garrett, Olivia, and Devin all got to take a short turn and go up in the hot air balloon. Andi enjoyed looking at the balloon and then playing at the park.
Drumming
Every parent's dream is to have their 2 year old discover how to drum! She dumps her toys, get out the spoons and drums away. It is loud, but she is pretty cute doing it. Plus she always wants someone to drum with her!
Picking Raspberies
As per tradition, we went and picked raspberries and McBride's Farm. We love fresh raspberries. We picked about 4 lbs of berries. We had crepes for dinner and used some of the berries but the we just ate the rest. They are so good.
