Let's Go Fly A Kite

Jelly Marbles

Andi's Day Date

We took Andi to a Wendy's picnic in the park and then to a short shopping spree at Dollar Tree.

Canal Boat Race

For the record, Dad's boat won.

Straw Construction

Here are two of Andi's and Garrett's latest straw creations. The bottom is a sailboat.

Diet Coke and Mentos

We invited the neighbor kids to come over and help drop Mentos into some Diet Coke bottles. We had 8 bottles we went through. Here are pictures from the round when we did three bottles at once.

Escaping With Olivia

Tonight we played our last Exit game. These are escape rooms in box and we really like the easy ones. We'd been waiting to play the Haunted Roller Coaster until both Olivia and Jen could be here and tonight was the night.

Art projects

Andi made a chick out of torn paper and wrote about it for one of her assignments.

We made chalk mosaics outside using chalk.  We taped down the shapes with painters tape first.

We used an app called Quiver Masks and colored a picture and then it made it look like Andi was wearing the mask.  Isn't she a cute little monkey.  I am sending this lesson home to my 1st and 2nd graders next week.

Science

We got Jelly Beads, the kind of beads that grow in water.  They are super fun to play with.

Devin also had to make a cloud a in jar for his science class.

Rockets

Jeremy got a rocket for  Christmas from Garrett.  We have been waiting to shoot them off for a nice day.  We went to the park and shot off rockets.  But we only got to launch it twice.  After that it wouldn't launch anymore.  But it was fun the two times it lasted.

German Chocolate Cake

Garrett made a German Chocoate cake from scratch for our Easter Dinner.  It was very rich and very delicious.

Easter Morning Pictures

We actually got up and got dressed on Easter Sunday.  Even if we were just staying home to do church.

Skittle Art

Look what happens when you add water and skittles.  It was pretty cool to watch.

Coloring Eggs

After our Egg Hunt we decorated eggs,  I had 24 fake eggs and 12 hard boiled eggs.  Jennifer,  Devin, Anid and I painted and colored eggs.  I love this tradition!   Tomorrow I will make deviled eggs with the boiled eggs to go with Dinner.

Easter Egg Hunt

Jenn and I had several plastic eggs that we had stuffed with candy and money and we went to Shay park and hid the eggs for the kids.   I think they all had a good time found a lot of eggs.

Cutting his own hair.

Jeremy is sick and tired of his hair and really wanted a hair cut.  So he decided to do it himself.

This is the after:  I think it looks pretty good.
