Devin: Going for the Gold

Devin and his teacher both Earned Gold Medals at the last assembly.  He won it by doing 3 things:
Read 11 Battle of the Book:  (He read 17)
Exercise program (He played soccer)
Service (He came to my classroom everyday and unstacked chairs)

We are really proud of him and we are so thankful for his teacher for motivating him to do it.

Kayaking

Jeremy and and I bought Kayaks for our 21st anniversary. After a couple of weeks of trying to figure out how we were going to transport them we finally got so we could take them out.  We took them to the highland pond for Memorial day weekend and again the following saturday.  It is so fun to go out on the kayaks.

Morning Bike Ride

I love the shadow in this picture.

The weather has been beautiful so a few mornings after every one else leaves and before I need to take Andi to the Sitters we have gone on walk/bike ride.  She is getting pretty quick  on her bike.  Looking forward to summer break and going on these walks/rides each morning.

Garrett's Band Concert

Garrett had his final concert of the year.  He really enjoys playing his  trombone.  He will be in summer band in June.  In this concert he had a solo which I think was pretty cool.

Devin's Class things.

Devin has the best teacher this year.  Mr. Moser has inspired him to be a better reader, he has taught him chess, he is excited every time he make progress.   He has also done some pretty fun things like having a Utah Utes Baskeball player come and talk to the kids. He has had them do egg drops, and he they wrote and performed their own puppet shows.   I feel blessed that Devin has had such a fantastic teacher this year.  Mr. Moser truly is the best!

Andi's Dance Recital

Andi had her final dance recital.  She loves dance so much.  She can't wait to go to dance every Wednesday.  She looks adorable in her dance costume.   I asked her the day of her recital what song she was dancing too or if she could show me her dance.  Her reply, "I don't know I guess I will find out when I get there"

She is always dancing and singing.  I am glad I found a dance studio for her.

Livvy's Final Choir concert

Livvy had her final concert for choir.  She really enjoys the choir and was disappointed that she didn't make the choir for next year.

Mother's Day

The kids were very thoughtful on Mother's day.  They brought me breakfast in bed with angel food cake and strawberries.  They got me flowers and a bird feeder.   Andi decided that she wanted to help me eat my breakfast.   So grateful for such wonderful kids.

FHE HIKE

Isn't this the sweetest picture?

For Family home evening we went to Inlet park near my school and walked the trail near the Jordan River.  It is a nice flat trail and has some spots that it good to stop and try to skip rocks.  I really like this little hike.  I hope to do it more often this summer

Morp

Livvy asked a friend from her math class to go to MORP with her this year (prom spelled backwards)   She went with some of her best girl friends too.  The theme was super heros.  So they all wore capes.  They went hiking and had a picnic, then went back home to get ready for the dance, then they met up for dinner and then went to the dance.  It seems like they all had a fun time.
