Standing

Andi's new trick is to wiggle off my lap and stand by herself holding on to the couch. She is so proud of her accomplishments.

Marble Run

What do the kids do when they are grounded? Play with toys. They got out the marble run and Legos. I don't think they have ever built a tower so high before.

Wizard Hat

Garrett was playing with Andi and put his wizard hat on her that he got at Disneyland a couple of years ago. He got the camera and took pictures. She is pretty cute.

Trying to Crawl

She will go from sitting to her belly then get on all fours and then stretch to reach what she wants. She doesn't crawl yet but she wants to move so badly and gets frustrated when she can't reach something.  Any day now I am sure she will start crawling.  Not sure I am ready for that.   My house is definitely not baby proof.

Berry Patch

Last year the kids had such a good time picking berries that we decided to do it again this year. We went with Kurt and Stephanie and Jennifer. My family picked 10lbs of berries and they picked about 8lbs of berries. I made 15 2 Cup containers of Jam today, plus I made a cobbler, then we still had a few left over for eating. They were so yummy.

I put Andi in the Carrier and she was content as could be to be toted around while we picked berries. She did get a few scratches on her arm but she didn't even seem to notice. But boy does she get heavy after awhile.

First Day

Devin is going into First Grade.  His teacher is Ms. Maurin.  He has been so excited for school to start. He has been counting down the days.  Plus he was super excited to wear his new Lego Shirt to school.

Garrett is going into the 5th grade.  His teacher is Mr. Fretwell.  Garrett seems pretty excited to start school too. On the first day of school the teacher told them that they would have to write a 5 paragraph essay by the middle of the year.  And even though it would be hard.  Then he said do you know how to eat an entire Elephant?  And Garrett answered "One bite at a time." 

Olivia is entering the 8th grade.  She was glad that she got all her classes that she wanted.  She is in honors math.  And I said, "I don't remember signing the paper for that." She replied, "You did and I am smart enough to do it. "  Yes she is.   She will also be taking creative writing, drama, dance, and foods along with her core classes.

All of them agreed that they would definitely miss Andi.

American Fork Canyon

We wanted to go on one last summer adventure before school started. We went up American Fork Canyon and had a picnic. We cooked tin foil dinners of the fire and roasted marshmallows. This is my type of camping. Go outside, cook outdoors, enjoy the scenery, then go home and sleep. We met Kurt and Stephanie and their family and had an enjoyable day. The kids really liked playing in the river.
