Seusical Jr: Featuring the Amazing Horton

Garrett came home back in November and said, " I think I want to try out for the school play."  I said Ok and drove him to the school.  He come home and says, "Mom, I need to memorize a Dr. Seuss book."  He picked the ABC book and didn't just memorize the one or two pages....No he memorized the entire book and I need to sing a song.  He picked Jingle Bells.  Then he went to the auditions.  Afterward I picked him up and asked, "How did you do?"  He replied, "Pretty well, I am the only one who memorized an entire Dr. Seuss book."  A couple of days later he comes home and says, "Mom, We are doing Seussical the Musical and I got the part of Horton?"  I replied,"Wow, that is big part"  He responded, "Mom that is THE biggest part"  He got a script and a CD and he began practicing.  He would go in my room and sing and sing.  He went in at recess to get extra practice with the teacher, he practiced with me.  He had his parts and pretty much everyone's part memorized pretty quick.  He did an amazing job and we are so proud of him.  We were glad that Vickie and Earl and Kurt and Stephanie could come.  Also our neighbors Kindra and her kids came and another neighbor, Liz Griffiths and her kids came all to support Garrett.   So many people of come up to talk to him and congratulate him and tell what a great job he did.  He just smiles and smiles.  This has been a great opportunity for him.

Livvy's First Track Meet

Livvy joined the Track team at her school. She joined to be with her cousin. She seems to be enjoying it. She had her first Track meet today after. She rean the 800 m (Which is 1/2 mile or 2 laps around the track. She was right in the middle the whole time. She came in 16th place out of 33 runners.  She seemed to be doing really well.

St. Patricks Day

I made props for my class to use with photo booth and my kids tried the props too. I also had a small rainbow treat with Reese's Cups and skittles.   Then for dinner we had Sprite with Green Sherbert to go with our dinner.
The props were lots of fun to use with my class but I don't know if I would do it again with Kindergartens. They couldn't seem to hold the prop, and push the button on the computer at the same time. I had to go around and help each kid. But I think they still had fun because then they got to print their picture.

Hands in the air

Andi is so cute!!! She will put her hands in the air and shake her hands and then just laugh. She loves when the other kids do the same thing. It is so cute to watch!

Day at the Park

We went to the park yesterday as a family and packed a picnic.  All the kids seemed to enjoy playing on the park.  Andi had a blast.  She loved playing on the playground.
I love this picture and how happy they both and how big their smiles are!

And yes, she loved going down the slide head first!

Yep, This is the best picture I got of all four of them!  NAILED IT!

At first, Olivia went down with her but she decided she was too big for that and wanted to go down by herself.

This is the best picture! With both of them just laughing!

After the park we went Miniature golfing and used our pass of all passes.  We love these warm days and I love doing family activities.

Plastic Containers

Andi is intrigued by containers and lids. She can be entertained for awhile putting lids on and taking them off. I got her some plastic containers with lids from the cabinet. She was happily playing. What I didn't anticipate was that the boys would come and seem to be having just as much fun playing with the plastic containers as she did. I like when they are play together.
