We had a really good babysitter this past year. But just like Olivia I think they were ready for Summer. Here is a picture of Angie and Devin. Garrett wouldn't be in the picture. Devin did like Angie but he was tired and wanted me to hold him when I got there to pick them up.

Last Day
Olivia really enjoyed 2nd Grade this year. She loved her teacher Sr. Duran. She loved learning Spanish. But she is ready for a break and some summer fun.

Starting Summer Fun
We went to Walmart and got a toy sprinkler that the kids could run through. I was tempted to run thou They though it my self but since I'm not able to run, I thought better of it . They kids had lots of fun. Well everyone but Devin. He didn't like being sprayed at all. He sat with me the whole time and whimpered everytime he got sprayed even a little.
Devin has also started saying a new word. His new word "Bubbu" or bubbles.

Bears
We have this bear game that has lots of little bears. It was in Garrett's closet and hasn't been played with for a while. Garrett got it out and has loved playing with it. He created this pretty cool pattern. The pattern is a little off because he ran out of bears. He is so smart and so ready for Kindergarten in the fall.

2nd Dr. Visit

Robin went and talked to the Dr. again today. They won't do surgery until at least 4 weeks after the initial injury. So she won't get it done until after the trip to WV and she also has to have more range of motion in her knee before they will do it. The ACL is torn badly, there is bruising on knee so that is why she is in so much pain. He gave her some exercises to strengthen the knee and help get a better range of motion. She is supposed to do the exercises twice a day. She can opt not to have surgery but most likely she will have the surgery.
He told her to keep wearing her lovely knee brace which makes walking more comfortable and keeps the knee more stable.

MRI
Robin had an MRI scan done on her knee this afternoon. We should hear tomorrow if she has a fractured meniscus or some other problem that might require surgery. She does have a new knee brace she's been wearing and that seems to help, but we all went to Olivia's Spanish Dance Festival tonight and Robin spent a lot of time on her feet so she's pretty sore. We'll let you know how the MRI turns out.

Peanut Butter Fudgy Bars

We were invited to a friend's house for dinner about a month ago and we brought a desert. I had been wanting peanut butter bars for awhile so when I was trying to decide what to make I saw this recipe on the back of cake mix. So I gave it a try. They were so good!!! They were moist and they almost melted in your mouth. Well since then Jeremy has been craving them so last night for family home evening treat I made them again. Oh so good!!! I could have eaten the whole pan. But Jere and I were really good and only had one small one each. The kids each ate two. Then Jeremy took the rest to his school.
Here is the recipe: The only change I made was I used creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy peanut butter.
1 package of *Pilsbury Moist Supreme Golden Butter Cake Mix
1 C Crunchy Peanut Butter
1/3 c water
1 Egg
1/2 C Crunchy peanut butter
1 16 oz container of Creamy Chocolate Frosting
Preheat oven ot 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan. In a large bowl combine the cake mix, peanut butter, water and egg. Mix for 2 minutes. Spread into the greased pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until it is golden brown and puffed up slightly. Let it cool completely. In a small bowl combine the frosting and the peanut butter and spread on the cooled bars.

12th Anniversay!!!
Jeremy and I have now been married 12 years. To celebrate we went to the Cheesecake Factory. So yummy!!!! I'm sure that blew our diet but hey it was just one day. We will get back on the diet tomorrow. My sister Jenn was also kind enough to watch our kids and we stayed at a bed and breakfast in Salt Lake.

The breakfast this morning was so delicious they had quiche, and cherry cobbler and cinnamon rolls. Ahh...so good. So WE ARE REALLY GOING TO GET BACK ON THE DIET TOMORROW. Then we went to see STAR TREK. It was a really exciting movie. I would recommend it. Then afterward we went to Red Robin and ate hamburgers and milk shakes. Did I say we are really really going to start our diet again tomorrow. : ) Can you tell we are missing really good food?
Speaking of the diet-So far I have lost 17 pounds (I weighed myself before going out to eat :) and Jeremy has lost 16 pounds. Our short term goal is 30 pounds and then we get a prize!

Interviews
I had a job interview last Friday for a Computer teaching job at school that was 10 minutes away from my house. I was really excited about the finding a job closer to home. But I found out yesterday that I didn't get the job. I was really bummed. I did have a job interview at a different school that is 10 minutes away that was for 1/2 time fifth grade position on Thursday. I thought this interview went really well. I hope I get this one. I would be teaching reading, science and social studies. It would be so much fun. I guess we will wait and see.

Poem
Two and an Half
Hold him a little longer,
Rock him a little more
Tell him another story
(You've only told him four)
Let him sleep on your shoulder
Rejoice in his happy smile,
He is only two and an half
For Such a little while.
-Author Unknown
Someone gave me this poem when Garrett was two. I found it again yesterday in the back of a drawer. I think this poem is true whether they are 2 1/2, 5, 8 or 1. I wish my kids would stay little sometimes.
