Bishop's Challenge

The Bishop offered a challenge to the youth: They had to read the old testament, go the temple 10 times, and do 7 other projects to earn a fun reward. Olivia and Garrett both finished the challenge.  They went swimming, went to the Manti Pageant, played lots of games, ate ice cream and I think had a fantastic time.

Cherries and playing

Jenn called and said she had a neighbor that had lots of cherries that needed to be picked. Devin and I went to help pick the cherries. We picked about a 5 gallon bucket full and it didn't even look like we made a dent in the amount of cherries on the tree. They looked so pretty. But looks can be deceiving. When we got home to work with them, we depitted them  cut them in half. Almost every single cherry had worms!!!! Jere and I spent a long time deworming them.  Nothing like taking out worms to make you you feel like things are crawling on you.  We froze about 5 bags of cherries for smoothies later.

Afterward Jere and I took Devin and Andi to the Curiosity Museum to play.  The other two were at a Church Activity.

Manilla Pond

For another morning walk we went to the Manila Pond. It has a nice walking trail, a beach area with sand, and water that isn't too cold to swim in. We met Stephanie and Kurt with two of their kids. It was a lot of fun! I love being outside and playing in the water during the summer. My kids love it too.  At the pond there was a family of ducks.  They had 13 of the cutest little ducklings!

Splash Pad

We went to the splash pad to enjoy playing in the water on a very hot day. Garrett's comment was "I don't remember this being so small"

It has a small stream with rocks to play on and a water fountain that sprays lots of water.   A fun way to spend the afternoon. I know by 2 oldest are getting a little big for things like this but they were good sports and Andi and Devin had a lot of fun!

Andi's Fun

Andi is so much fun. She loves to laugh and giggle. And she can find fun in small things.
It was Devin's turn to unload the dishwasher.  I look over and this is what I see.  The two of them working together.  It was just so cute.  She loves to "Help"

She loves to sit on anyone who is laying on the floor.
She love playing in the water.  This is her friend Axel.
She enjoys playing with the beach ball.

This is my one of my favorite pictures of her. She looks so happy!

Devin's First Scout Camp

Devin went to his first cub scout camp.  I had a meeting I had to go to, so Jere stayed home with Andi.  So we didn't get to go with him.  But he had a lot fun shooting BB guns, archery, canoeing.  I think the excitement on his face is evident.

Free Concert in the Park

Every summer we our city has a free concert at Neptune park. Last year Jere and I went without the kids but this year we decided we wanted to take the kids. It is family friendly plus they have fireworks afterward. It was a fun evening.

Livvy met up with a bunch of her friends.

The band was The Party Crashers
