That's Good! That's Bad!

That's Good! That's Bad! by Margery Cuyler This is one of Devin's favorite books! I am taking a class and the assignment was to make take a picture book and get the pictures and have you read it and make a video using iMovie. I have been wanting to do this with this book for a while. Devin is so cute on here.

Baby Blanket

On Monday, last week, I decided that I wanted to make the baby a baby blanket.  I had already bought the fabric.  It was an just tying the blanket, so not to hard. I had about  2 hours to myself after Devin went to Kindergarten.  I laid out the fabric and started cutting the strips and tying the knots.   I finished the blanket soon after the boys got home from school.  As I was looking at the blanket I decided that it was a really BIG baby blanket.  It was so big that I gave it to my first baby who is now 13!  Well, I can finally say I made Olivia a baby blanket.

This Past Week

We started the week with finding one of these lovely black widow spiders in our garage!

1.  Monday: We had family home evening
2. Tues: Jenn moved out and borrowed my van to help move her things.  When she came to return the van she had been in small accident. She rear ended someone about 2 blocks from my house. Then  Garrett went to scouts that night.
3. Wednesday: Livvy had young women.  Garrett got the stomach flu.  He said he wasn't feeling well so I sent him to bed early.  He comes up a little later and says, "Mom, I can't go to sleep because I keep throwing up."  Poor kid. I didn't realize he was that sick.  I was glad Jeremy was home to help clean up the mess.
4.  Thursday: Garrett stayed home from school.  Jenn came over to be with him so  I still went  to work.  We had our Lego Team over still because Garrett was feeling better.
5. Friday: Jere and I went on a date.  Jenn called and said she had the stomach bug
6. Saturday and Sunday: I had the stomach bug.

This week at school was a long week.  I had a student try to trip me.  I was extra tired all week.  It just seems like the week dragged on.  I was so ready for a relaxing weekend but the stomach flu changed that.  I am glad I have off today to recuperate.

October's Sayings

Devin: If we had a boy we could name the baby Rocky.
Olivia: That's is a a dog's name!
Devin: Duh, It is Emily's Dog.

Olivia: While watching Conference and the choir was singing, she asked, "Is this half-time?"

Devin: Mom, I saw Brittany kissing Johnny.
Me: Well that's okay they are married.
Devin: I know what you and Daddy do when I am not home from school yet and Daddy get's home early.
Me: Really?
Devin: You guys are kissing!  EWWW!!

Devin comes out of the bathroom with his hair all sticking up. He poses and shouts, "Now I'm a rock star!"Then he says, "I can go erase it now."

Devin: Dad, How old are you?  Are you 100 or over 100?

Halloween at Cedar Ridge

Jeremy and his office staff decided to dress up in a Toy Story theme  He was Woody.  His assistant, Chad, was Buzz and his secretary, Susan, was Bo Beep.

Halloween

Olivia is a ghost.  Jennifer helped with her costume.  She went trick or treating with a bunch of friends this year.

Jenn's Viking Costume she made.

Jenn made my pregnant skeleton costume.  Isn't the baby skeleton cute.  I had students come and say, "It's like you have a baby in your tummy."  My reply was, "Well, I do"  I don't think some of them believed me.

Garrett was an astronaut

Devin is Iron Man.

He didn't really like wearing the mask that much though.

The boys came home with so much candy.  Not sure what we are going to do with all this candy.

This isn't even showing Olivia's Candy.
Jenn went to Halloween party on the 30th that was masquerade and this is one of her costume creations.

Legacy Center Party

Jenn invites us to her Legacy Center Halloween party every year. She gets us in free and we get to come an hour early before it gets too busy. The kids had a lot of fun playing the games, going trick or treating, getting their faces painted and just playing.
