Trains and Rivers

Mom and I took some of the kids(Josh, Garrett, Devin and Andi) to The New River Park in Beckley where there were some trains they could play. We picked up pizza for them and they got to play and have a great time.

While we were doing that Emily and Jennifer took Zach and Olivia kayaking down the 

Greenbrier River.

First Day in West Virginia

Andi was so excited to go on an Airplane and visit grandma and grandpa. 

 The first day there we went out on the Kayaks on Plum Orchard lake and used the kayaks.  It is so fun to be on the kayaks and on the water and we may have accidentally fallen in.

 And it wouldn't be a trip to lake without finding all the critters.   Livvy caught this salamander.

Devin and Andi Sleeping

We moved Devin to Andi's room so Vickie and Earl could sleep in his room.  I found them like this one morning.  I thought it was super cute so I took a picture.

When Devin got out of bed he was complaining that he didn't sleep very well because Andi took all of the blankets.  I then showed him this picture and asked, "Who was taking all the  blankets?" 

2 AM HIKE

Olivia with a group of her friends got up at 2 am to hike 3 hours to the top of a mountain to watch the Sunrise on the First Day of Summer! She got some amazing pictures. 

Splash pad again

We went to the splash pad.  Livvy was babysitting Alisha, my friend's daughter, so we went to the splash pad again.  I think Livvy had fun playing with Andi.  She isn't too big yet :)

Bear Lake

Bear lake is so beautiful.  We stayed in a hotel right on a beach.  It was nice nice. It was windy which made the air cold, and the water was cold but it was fun to play at the beach, fishing using Jenn's Kayaks, eating the Famous Raspberry Milk Shakes and just being together.

My friend who lived near Bear Lake growing up told us we have to try the Most Famous Raspberry shakes.  I asked her where to get them and she replied anywhere.  When we got to Bear Lake, there were signs up everywhere advertising the Most Famous Raspberry Shakes.  Well we picked the one place that didn't have the Most Famous Shakes but the "Least Famous."  It was so funny.  They were good shakes!

Livvy and I got up Early to watch the Sunrise over the lake.

Happy Father's Day Jere. It was fun to do a trip for Father's Day and create fun family memories.  We even gave him breakfast in bed on Sunday.
