NC Children's Museum

Garrett as a news reporter, mail carrier, firefighter, police officer, train conductor, Luigi, airplane pilot, and a race car driver.

Big Red Chair

We drove to North Carolina a day early and spent the night in a hotel because we had such an early flight the next morning.  While in Greensboro we found this really cool Children's museum.   The kids had such a good time pretending and building.  We were so glad we found this place.

We had a wonderful month spending time with Grandma and Grandpa and all the cousins.  We miss everyone already.

We got back to Utah on Thursday safe and sound.  The only thing we didn't have was our keys to the car that was parked in the airport parking lot.  We had to have a friend come and bring us our spare keys and the car rental place in North Carolina is going to mail us our van keys.

Sword Fighting

My Dad also made wooden swords with Chema's help. All the kids would have sword fights and sword tournaments.  Each kid had their own sword and yes they brought their swords home back to Utah.

Tree House

My dad loves building things. This year, for the grandkids, he built a tree house. This tree house is awesome with a fire pole, carpeted flooring, a bunk bed, electrical fans, and a tv and dvd player. The kids took turns sleeping in the tree house each night. They loved it! It was their own private clubhouse. Garrett was the only one brave enough to sleep out there by himself.

Behind the tree house is a very small stream and the kids would spend hours catching crawdads.

Swimming at the House

When we were just hanging out at my mom and dad's house most likely we were spending time in the pool. The kids loved playing in the water. Now that we are back in Utah they are missing all the water fun.

Devin loved to yell, "It's cookie time!" when he jumped in.

Babcock and Hawks Nest State Parks

Once Jeremy came back from Utah we took a day and took the kids to Babcock State Park and Hawks Nest.
Babcock: We went to the Grist Mill and then went paddle boating on the lake.

Hawks Nest
At Hawk's Nest we rode the tram down to the river.
I love how beautiful WV is.

Summersville Lake

Summersville Lake is a favorite place to go when in WV. It has a nice beach area. We pack a picnic and snacks and spend the whole day there. We went here 6 times while we were there. It is awesome and we all have great tans because we spent so much time at the lake.

Devin got to be so brave with his floaty on. He would go anywhere and especially loved going out to the deep.

Plum Orchard Park

A couple of years ago my dad built this really cool playground at his park. It is a fun park that is in the middle of the woods. The kids loved playing on it. It was really nice that it was in the shade.
