Fish Lake

We went to Fish Lake for a weekend of camping, kayaking, and exploring.  The lake is beautiful, the camp ground was shaded.  It rained quite a bit but we tried not to let that dampen our trip.  Though one tent flooded and everything got wet.  :)

Garrett's Raft

Garrett found some large sticks over by the Jonson Reservoir (Right next to Fish Lake) . What is the very first idea to pop into his head? "HEY LET'S MAKE A RAFT!" We thought he was joking at first, but then after making a huge collection of huge sticks we found out that he was not joking. He and Jennifer spent about an hour and a half working on it. It looked pretty cool. It even floated pretty well, It did sink a bit for Garrett and Devin, but when Andi jumped on it, it seemed to keep her above the water. Garrett went pretty far out on it, even if his legs and butt were submerged in water all the way, he didn't mind. Since Andi didn't know how to paddle, Garrett would get out, and push her around in it. Everyone seemed to have fun with it, and Jen and Garrett said it was fun to build it.

Johnson Reservoir

There is a small reservoir, called Johnson Resoivoir. It isn't as busy and the water is bit warmer, so we took the kayaks up there to play in the water for the day. Garrett and Jenn made a raft and the kids had fun trying to float on it on  the water.  Olivia came up with Jenn so she got to spend some time with us.

Captiol Reef

We drove to Capitol Reed National Park which is about an hour away from Fish Lake where we were camping. It was so pretty there. If all the different rock formation. We did a couple of small hikes, ate homemade pie and ice cream that they sell at the store on the park. The weather was perfect and not too hot.  On the way home we drove an hour out of the way to find a pizza place since it was pouring the rain.

Garrett's Learner's Permit

I took Garrett to the DMV today to take his Learner's permit test!  HE PASSED! He passed on the first try.  Now we have another driver to teach!  It is both exciting and frightening to think about.  Jeremy took him to practice in a nearby school parking lot.

Pizza Parachute Picnic

Garrett was babysitting and decided to cook a pizza for dinner and then to make a fort bubble using the parachute and the fan and then eat the pizza under the fort.  He has some fun and clever ideas. Garrett said that everyone got along. Andi said she loved it.

Jeremy's Meringue

We have been watching the Greatest Brittish Baking Show.  Jeremy decided that he wanted to try something on the show.  He made a meringue.  It was really good. 

Lagoon Day

We decided to take a family day to Lagoon. We have never been before. It was such a fun day. We packed picnics for lunch and dinner. We got there at 11 when they opened and left at 8:30. There was something for everyone. Andi I think went on the most rides.
