Garrett is such a picky eater. He won't hardly eat anything. You wouldn't think that he would weigh over 30 lbs. I am now buying him 3T clothes. Yesterday I found something that he liked. I made grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. I gave him some. I always try to give him food we eat but he never wants it. He usually spits it and says, "Yuck" He actually ate the whole sandwich. We cheered the entire time he ate his dinner.
Here is what he likes to eat.
Pizza
Crackers and pretzels
Cereal
Apples
Bananas
Yogurt
French Fries
Anything Sweet like ice cream or candy
He loves to drink milk.
*Any suggestions on how to get him to eat more types of food?

Well, You could always try dippers. Choose carrots or bread or fruit and make dips for them. Try using a cookie cutter to cut some foods into shapes. Smother vegetables in cheese. Or make smiley faces with the food or on the sandwich. Have him help you make it. Just remember that children's tastebuds aren't as developed as yours. It takes something like 21 tries at offering something befoe they'll try it. Just keep trying.
Also sometimes if other kids are eating it he might want it, or if everyone seems very excited about it.
You could always try a sticker/star chart. If he tries one bite of something new he gets a sticker. Also try not giving more than 4 oz of milk or juice at a meal. If he is still thirsty have him drink water or only offer water at meals. Give milk at snacks. Kids fill up on milk and juice and then aren't willing to try other stuff. Also don't give snacks too close to meal times. (At least 1 1/2 - 2 hours.) Beige diets (breads, bananas, cereals, crackers) are pretty usual with toddlers. Just offer one new thing each meal or snack and keep giving it. If he's really hungry he'll eat it eventually. Just have the snack or meal set out and don't give seconds until he's tried it all. Little kids will eventually eat it once they realize that that's all there is. Just be strong. It'll change sooner or later. ALso don't let him hear you say that you don't like something. If he thinks that he doesn't have to eat if he thinks he won't like it beacuse he hears you say it, that undermines your efforts to try new things. Good luck!!!
