Drive In

Yesterday, Olivia and Alex spent the day with Emily. They went to a friend's birthday party, and then last night, we went back to the drive in movies. They saw Toy Story 3 and Marmaduke. These pictures were taken when Emily got the kids home around 2 a.m. Love the drive in movies! The movies were good, and all had a great time.

Summer Movies

We have seen several movies this so far this summer.

Jeremy took the kids to see Toy Story 3 before they left for WV. They said it was really cute and Olivia is watching it again tonight with Zach at a drive in theater. I still want to see this one.
Jeremy and I went and saw Prince of Persia. It was not our favorite movie. It had a lot of action, no real story and some major plot holes.
Jeremy, Vickie, Earl and I saw Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz. It was really good. Lots of action and lots of humor. We will probably buy this movie.
I went with my friend Michelle to see the movie Letters to Juliet. It was really sweet. Yes, it is a chick flick, yes it is predictable, and yes I loved it.

Tonight we went and saw the A Team. It was a fun movie. It was action packed and had some pretty funny parts. It made us want to go and watch some of the old t.v. shows.

We would love to see a few more movies but we will see if that happens once the kids get back.

Can't have too many Days at the Lake

Jay went with us to the lake today. The kids love to climb him and get thrown around by him. It's also good exercise for Jay. Everybody benefits!

Jay did have a little difficulty lifting Garrett. He's a bit stockier than the other kids. It took several attempts to get him up in the air.

Olivia is a great big sister, and Devin loves her to take care of him!
Josh finally cooperated when I pointed my camera in his direction. This is a rarity for him.

Surf's UP!
It was another great Lake Day! :O)

At The Lake Again

Today was a beautiful, hot, wonderful summer day! The kids spent the day at Summersville Lake catchin' some rays and cooling off in the water. This is always my favorite summer activity, and I think the rest of the group enjoys it too. There's always less conflict at the lake! Everyone is happy! How could anyone not love moments like these: Garrett loves "floating away". There are times where all the other kids are playing, and Garrett isn't with them anymore... So, they look around and he's usually nearby just floating by himself. This is a great way for him to relax....
Devin feels like a really big kid when he gets on the float and pushes out to the "deep" water.
Olivia is a total beach babe!
Josh is wild and crazy! He's very hard to photograph because he never stays in the same spot for more than 2 seconds....
Zach is cool and laid back, and as his mawmaw used to say "brown as a berry". He tans up real nice like his momma.
Zach and Olivia are going to miss each other so much when she leaves next week.
They spent 5 hours playing in the lake today!
Devin, Olivia, and Garrett are having a great time cooling off at the lake.
They LOVE LOVE LOVE their Summersville Lake Days! -- and I think we're going to do it all over again tomorrow!!!!
Olivia and Emily both get a kick out of summertime manicures and pedicures! Tonight, Olivia spent the night with Em and she did her nails. They turned out so cute!

Brian Regan on Broken Femur

A friend let me borrow a Brian Regan DVD. It was really funny. He has a bit about a broken Femur. It is pretty Funny. And absolutely true. Having a broken femur is a 10+ on the pain scale.

The whole thing is funny but the femur joke is about at 5 and half minutes into the clip.

Plum Orchard

Get Well Cards

My sister Jenn just back from West Virginia. She brought back with her several letters from my kids and my nephews. They are cute, and sweet and they made me happy so I wanted to share a few of them.

Pillowcases

Jeremy and I miss our kids. So we have gone to the store and bought them a few surprises for when they get home. I also went to a my friend's Heather McKay's House and she showed me how to me make these really cute pillowcases. So I made one for each kid.

They are pretty easy. You pick a coloring page, then trace it on the pillowcase with a pencil then with permanent fabric markers you outline the picture in black, then color in the picture with the fabric markers. I may not be artistic but I can trace and color.

Pedicure and Manicure

My friend Marianne came and got me on Friday and we went and got manicures and pedicures. It is always fun to hang out with her. We talk and laugh. Plus it is great to get out of the house. And who doesn't like getting a manicure and pedicure. It feels really good and now I have pretty nails.
