St. George Get Away with my Sister

Jenn asked what I wanted for my birthday. I told her I wanted to do something to get away with just me and her. She planned a fabulous get away. We went to St. George to go to see the play "Peter and the StarCatcher at Dixie College, and then we went to Zions on Sunday.  We went on 2 short hikes.  It was nice to spend time together and have a short get away. I love that she lives so close. I do believe she my best friend and I love her. 

Devin's Pinewood Derby

When Dad was here over Christmas, he helped Devin make his pinewood derby car. It didn't place but it sure was a pretty car and ran nice.

Going to the Park in February

We have had a a really cold and snowy winter. Then one day all the snow was gone and it was nice outside. I took Devin and Andi to the park to enjoy the sunshine. It didn't last long. That night we had a big snowstorm.

More Coding

For a class I am taking, I needed to take some pictures of the kids coding. I used my own kids to do this.

3D Printing

Jeremy and Garrett's new hobby is 3d printing. We had six spinners printed. We thought we would see what the interest would be to sell them. We sold the first 6 in the first hour and we now have orders for 27 more. Right now we are only using Jeremy's printer but Garrett had saved enough money to buy his own printer. Hopefully soon we can Garrett's printer working properly we can print these spinners faster.

We even sent one to Zach for his birthday. He says they are addicting :)

Valentine's Day

I won a free pair of heart leggings and I bought a matching pair for Olivia and Andi for Valentines' day.

In the morning we had candy cups for each kid.

Jeremy had flowers to me.

Devin had to make his own box for school this year and we helped him make a pikachu box.  I think it turned out pretty cute.

That evening we had heart pizza as is our tradition and apple cider.

Sweet Hearts Dance

Olivia asked one of her friends, Alex, that she works with to take her to Sweetheart's Dance. They went with a 2 other couples.  He got her a corsage.

Andi loved the corsage.

They went bowling, then they went to Maddie's house for games and a waffle bar, then they went to the dance.  It was an all day date. I think they had fun.

Andi's Crown

Andi has decided that she wants to wear a crown like a princess.  But we don't have any crowns so she made her own out of the track for the marble run.  Isn't she pretty.  I recently bought her some head bands but she doesn't want to wear those.

White Smile

Olivia has wanted something done about her teeth.  She got braces to make them nice and straight. However, they still had some discoloration from when she was little and had a lot fevers.  We tried whitenings several times and it didn't work.  We finally took her to a new dentist that was recommended to us from Anna, my babysitter.  He was able to go and put filling on the darker spots and make them the same color as the rest of her teeth.  She was so happy.  We will definitely be using Dr. Gordan again.

He Got the Cheese

With school money, I bought the Mouse Robot Kit to help teach my younger students to learn some basics of coding like sequencing, problem solving, debugging. I brought it home to figure it out and play with it. Well Andi and Devin really liked the game. Andi would get so excited when the Mouse got to the cheese. She would yell really loud "HE GOT THE CHEESE HE GOT THE CHEESE!" She loved to use some of the pieces to build with. I was taking it back to school and she saw it in the car and asked where I was taking it. I told her. Then when I came to pick her up and the mouse game wasn't in the car she kept asking where it was and was pretty sad that we didn't have it. So I decided to buy one for my house as well! Now it is a fun game that she like to get out. She can't program the mouse but she loves watching the mouse get the cheese and building her own mazes.
