Fourth of July

We went to Burger Stop and got shakes after the aquarium.  

After we got home, that evening we went to Orchard Park and watched fireworks that the neighbors set off.  They were pretty amazing.  Not mater which way you looked there were firework displays.  

I know this picture doesn't do it justice, but the moon was amazing too.  It was a full big bright moon. 

Sea Quest

In Layton, about 20 minutes away from Ogden, we went to Sea Quest,  which is an aquarium with some pretty cool things.  Livvy had a health care worker appreciation so we go in half off.  You could pet or touch anything you could safely reach. 

This turtle was really cool.  They just let him know wander around the aquarium.   He was pretty fast.  We went looking for him to see him again before we left and found him in the party room. 

Another cool part was the parakeet room.  There were a lot of little birds and you put food on your hand and they would come and land on you hands and head and arms and eat the food.  It was so neat and fun.

They also had a huge ray tank that you could put your hands in a feel the rays.  The rays would come right up to you and want you pet them.  Don't they look like they are smiling.

They also had a new way to get a manicure.  These little  little fish would come and nibble on your hand while it was in the water.  It was the weirdest feeling.

Kayaking at Highland

We went to Highland pond to kayak.  Our neighbors the Byrds were there too.  Devin and Bridger found a new way to kayak.    Use the kayak as a paddle board.  When we got home, there must have been something in the water because all of the kids who swam in the pond broke out into hives.  We will probably be finding a new place to go Kayaking. 

Hogle Zoo Day

I love going to the zoo in the spring, the animals are active. It isn't very crowded.  All the kids enjoy it! It was a great day to spend our first official day of spring break.

We packed our lunches and had all the carbs counted for Garrett's lunch.   We made sure we had all of his supplies.  

Andi said that her favorite animals were the elephants.

Stewart Falls

Over the weekend we decided to do a family hike to Stewart Falls. It was a 4 mile hike round trip. We heard it was a hike for all skill levels. We thought that would be pretty easy. It wasn't too bad until the last .5 mile to get to the falls and it was straight down and was really rocky. Climbing back up that .5 miles was really hard. Jeremy ended up carrying Andi about 3 of the 4 miles. We all came back a little sore and tired.
