Shay Park

There is a new park in my neighborhood. It has a lot of fun play things there. It also has a nice walking path so for our morning walk on day we went to the new park and walked and then we played at the park. Even Olivia thought it was a fun park.

Temple to Temple

For a YW activity, they walked from the old Provo Temple to the new Provo Temple which is about 5 miles stopped in the middle at BYU for ice cream.

Diamond Fork Hot Springs

We took the boys on a 5 mile hike to the Diamond Fork Hot Springs up Spanish Fork Canyon.  It was a good hike.  There weren't very many steep parts and it was mostly in the shade.  The springs and water falls were a lot of fun.   Livvy kept Andi at home but I think they would have liked it too.

And of course we met a snake.  I decided to stay on the rock as it slithered across the path.  eww...
Funny story:  Jere and I decided we wanted to hike to the hot springs for our anniversary.  Jere took the day off work.  It was a beautiful day.  We packed picnics and water.  The hike started out great the weather was overcast but it was so nice. Half way through the hike it started to rain, then it started to pour, then it started to pour and there was a quite a bit of Thunder.  We thought maybe we could wait it out.  We didn't bring ponchos. After waiting for about 15 minutes under a tree for some protection it began to rain harder.  We decided that we should go back to the car.  It rained all the way back.  We were soaked and freezing but we made it back to the car.  As we drove out of the canyon there were blue skies all the way home.

We are glad we came back another day to finish the hike.

American Fork Canyon

After the parade we went to American Fork Canyon to have a hot dog roast. We met Jenn at her Camp Site which was down a dirt road with tons of pot holes.  It was by a stream.  It was an enjoyable afternoon.

Funny Story: I took my shoes and socks off to put my feet in the water.  Which is was way to cold to even put your feet in.  The water was pretty swift.  As I was grabbing my shoes I accidentally dropped my sock in the river and within seconds the sock was gone!

Vickie and Earl came up with us too.  They came to watch the parade.

Wow they are are all looking and kind of smiling in this one!

Grand Marshal

Jeremy was chosen to be the Grand Marshall in the Cedar Hills Parade since he is the Principal of Cedar Ridge. He is well loved in his community.  We got to ride in this really cute fire truck.  The kids love throwing candy to all the little kids.

Carnival

Jeremy got 8 free tickets to the City Carnival that was at his school. We invited Kurt and Stephanie and their kids to come and enjoy evening with us. They all enjoyed the rides.  Well it is hard to tell if Andi actually liked them.  She would be upset when riding them but then get off and say  that was fun and want to go again.
