Hope Squad

Olivia was nominated by her peers to be apart of a group called HOPE Squad.  Which is a leadership group that is set up for other kids to be able to go and talk to other kids if they are feeling down.  She went to HOPE Squad camp this summer to learn how to be a good leader/listener and friend.   These are a few of her friends: Beth and Jenna who were also there.

Coloring and Glasses

Andi has discovered the joy of coloring. She now likes to sit at the table and color. She especially loves if you give her markers. She now will find any pen, crayon, marker, pencil and color on things. We are trying to watch her closely and teach her not to color the wall but we have a few spots that she has colored but she is learning and will color on any paper she finds.

Her artwork: I love how she has colored almost the entire page.
She found these funny glasses and thinks it is hilarious to play with them and wear them.  She is pretty goofy looking.

Fun with a Blanket

Olivia invented a game for Andi that they both love playing. Livvy hides under the blanket and then Andi comes running at her and then Livvy captures her. They both laugh and laugh. Or Livvy and Devin takes the blanket and tosses the blanket up and up on top of her. I love how much fun they can have together even if there is a big age difference.

As I was taking pictures she would run to me afterward and say "See" to see the picture on the camera.  I didn't want her playing with my camera so Devin is letting her "See" his camera.

LEGOS

We were trying to bride the boys to earn a trip to the Lego store. At first it was they had to earn 30 tickets but for some reason they would never get their tickets when they had earned them. Then we said, well if you can go three days without fighting you can earn the LEGO store. They couldn't pull that off either. But finally there was one week the first week in August. that they finally went three days without any major fights so they I took them to the Lego store. They each got to pick out a Lego kit. After we got home and they finally got to open them, they played and played with their new Lego sets without fighing for a good 2 hours.  It only took 2 months for them to earn this! :)

Garrett's FHE Lesson

The goat stands on the left hand side of Jesus, while the sheep are his right. I don’t why, but I think the sheep stand for the RIGHTous and the goats stand of the wicid. The sheep fed him, they dressed him, they guided him, they had money and give him all. The goats did not feed them, they left him naked, they did not guid him, they had money but, him gave none.

there was a robbed man that left to die in the sand in the hot sun. A person from the same town rushed right passed him. There was and other man who just walked right   past him. Then a third man a jew everyboty
in that town hated jews he picked him up and put him on his horse went to a inn and fed and took care of him
he was the sheep the two others were the goats. he is thy neighbor of all he is the Good samaritin.

Arches National Park

On the way home from Colorado we took a 20 mile detour and went to Arches National Park with Earl and Vickie. We had never been there before and we were so close that we decided to go on a small adventure.  We were there about 2 hours.  There was a lot more we could have seen but we had hungry kids and we had to get home so Jere could go to work on Monday.

This balanced Rock.

This is double Arches

Side Note: On the way home we got stuck in traffic for 2 hours due to a mudslide.  We left at 8 in the morning and got home around 8 at night.  A nice long day!

Colorado Trip

We went to Colorado for Kristi's son's, Alex.  He got baptized on Saturday.  It was a short weekend trip but it was a lot of fun.

We drove down on Friday after Jere got home from work.  Here we are in the car taking a cold treat break.

Saturday: We went with Kristi and her family up to the Mountains to a beautiful lake so that the kids could go fishing.  It was really nice up there.

Cynthia caught a fish.

Jeremy caught his first trout.

Devin caught a trout too.
After the baptism we went back to Kristi's house and just played with the cousins some more.

Livvy at Lagoon

Last week, Livvy spent her own money to go to Lagoon with one of her good friends, Maddy.  It looks like they had a good time.   Glad she has good friends.
