Spring Break Day 2: Hill Airforce Museum

We went to the Aerospace Space Museum! It was so cool to see the airplanes that were using in WWII and and all some of the planes are used today.  The planes were huge.  It was so interesting to see the planes.  We wish there was one that they would let you go inside and look around.   It made me appreciate the sacrifices that these men and women made so our country could have freedom.

There were a lot of planes outside, but there were more inside!

Spring Break Day 1: Children's Museum

Ball pits, building blocks, art stations, pretend farms, water canals, rock walls, are just a few of the things to do at the Children's Museum. It is so much fun to explore and play.

We all had a a great day and we all came home tired.

Spring Break Day 1: City Creek

City Creek Center is a new shopping mall that opened across from Temple Square. It has lots of stores but the cool thing about it is, there is a creek that runs through it. There are waterfalls and places for the kids to play in the water.  We only played in the water and didn't go into a single store.  Well, we did go to the food court for lunch.

Easter Eggs

We had an Easter Egg Hung in our backyard. In the past we have had neighbors come over to join us but this year it was just us. The kids still loved it because they got lots of eggs with candy. Plus they got 2 big eggs that were filled with coins, $2.20 cents to be exact. That was the amount of change I had in my money bowl

When Olivia saw that some of the eggs had money in them, She said, "Just like Pappy did for you when you were little" Yes, that is the reason I did it because I have fond memories of Easter Egg Hunts at Pappy's house in Spencer.

Spring Break!

Spring Break has officially started!!!  We were hoping that Emily and her boys would be able to come but tickets were too expensive.  So we are planning lots of day trips and looking forward to spending time together as a family. It is so nice to have a week off of work and school.  

I will try to put pictures on each day.  Also over spring break I will be taking lots of pictures so that I can use them for  my digital storytelling class that I am taking.  I don't know who is more excited about this class, Jeremy or me.  It is basically making a movie.  So we are going to use our spring break adventures for the basis of my digital story project.

MARCH SAYINGS

Olivia: We were driving home and saw some guys on motorcycle. They had long hair in pony tails. She says, "Mom, guys with ponytails look weird." I said, "Yeah, like biker dudes." She replies, "No, like caveman."
Devin: He is outside playing with his brother and sister. He comes to the door and says, "My girlfriend, the girl I love, I want you to see her." (Talking about a little neighbor girl who lives down the street. We are going to have to keep an eye on this kid. : )
Devin: He has a bag of money. He asked for a piggy bank. So we got him one. When we went to fill his piggy bank with his bag of money, I asked, "Devin, where did you get all these quarters?" He replied "From the money bowl, you silly goose."
(The money bowl where we keep our spare change so technically not his money) March 2o12.
Devin: After school, Devin comes up to me and sits next to me and says, "Mom, I like you." I tell him I like him too. He come a little closer and says, "Mom, I love you." I tell him I love you too. He then climbs into my lap and puts his head on my should, and says, "Mom, I need snuggles." (This made my day.) March 2012
Garrett: He lost his library book from school. He said, "I think Grandma and Grandpa put it in their suitcase and took it home with them because they wanted to read it." March 2012
Devin: At the sitter when her husband is home and he gets sent to timeout he says "Johnny needs more patience." (Maybe, but Devin needs to listen.) March 2012.
Devin: Jere and I get up and exercise in the morning. Devin likes to get up at this time too. I was helping him get his shirt on and he says, "Hurry Mom, or I will miss seeing Dad exercise." March 2012
Devin: Goes and gets a banana and puts it to his ear and says,"Ring. Ring. Hello. I am going to eat you!" March 2012

Devin: As we are getting him dressed for church, his head gets stuck in the shirt. He yells, "Hurry up, I am almost dead in here." March 2012
Devin: We went to his friend's house to play. Her mom is expecting a baby any day. As we were leaving he says, "Mom you should have another baby. Lets just go to the store and get one." March 2012

Cooking and a Super D.

Olivia has decided she loves to bake desserts.  She made these cookies for Family Home Evening.  She wants to make something every night, but I have to tell her that we don't need desserts every night.

Super D:  He is wearing a scrap of fabric and Olivia made him a mask.

I love the that he is also wearing his Superman Shirt.  Devin says "I loves that guy" even though he has never seen a Superman movie or show.

And Devin also loves to help in the Kitchen, especially if it involves making pizza or desserts.
