Wind Walker Ranch

We spent a few days at a Ranch near Manti Utah. We had a fun time riding horses, going swimming, eating s'mores, going on a hayride, and being with family. All of Jeremy'Siblings and their children were there, along with family friends Barbara and Scott, plus Grandma and Granpa. It was a nice place to go. It was really nice that all the meals were provided. Here are a few pictures we took while we were there. Most of the horse riding pictures were taken with the regular camera.

Sleepy Boy

The kids were eating lunch after church today. Robin and I were done but when we turned to check on them, this is what we saw. Poor little guy! (Of course we'll take any day Garrett goes to sleep without a fight).

HOME AGAIN

We arrived back in Utah last night at 11 pm. We had a nice flight with no delays. Anyone who knows me and my traveling history knows this doesn't happen very often. We had a great time in WV. We went fishing, swimming, four wheeling, to a discovery muesum, jumped on the trampoline, rode bikes, and really had a great time. We will miss Grandma, Grandpa, Emily and her kids, and Jennifer.
Today has been busy, we have unpacked, did laundry, went grocery shopping, cleaned Olivia's room(The rest of the house was clean. Jere did that before he left for WV) and best of all we ALL TOOK NAPS.
I needed to go to the store this morning to get milk for breakfast. I let Jeremy sleep in and took the kids to the Smiths that is near our house about 3 minutes away. When I pulled up to the store, Olivia said, "That's it, That didn't take long at all. WOW!" : ) She had gotten used to being in WV where it takes a longer time to go places.
Garrett is enjoying rediscovering his toys. He got up this morning at 5:45 and has had a fun day playing with his toys. He keeps bringing me toys and saying "Look" It is like Christmas with all new toys again.

Happy Independence Day!

We had a pretty good day yesterday. Robin's grandparents, two uncles, an aunt, and Emily's family came over for a barbecue. Robin and Emily had the great idea to have everyone dressed in patriotic colors. Robin got us all cute matching red shirts. Robin's dad was the only one who didn't wear his. Instead he wor one that read: Grill Sargeant. The food was good and there was plenty of it. We all ate too much. We all swam and played all afternoon. Garrett and I were worn out. We headed into town around 9pm to catch the 10pm fireworks show. About 5 minutes after we got there somebody told Emily that there was a huge storm coming so we headed back to the van. They weren't kidding! The downpour was huge! We made it back to the van in time. We thought we would wait out the storm and then get to watch the fireworks, but after about 15 mins we asked a security guard and he told us that the fireworks had been cancelled anyways. Then we had to wait for the opportunity to drive home. Traffic was all backed up. The kids seemed to have fun though. Emily had some light-stick necklaces that they played with in the back. It was really dark so they had a blast. One of the pictures I'm posting shows them playing with them without the camera flash on.

Emily's Blog

We are still here in WV and having a great time. We went to the neighbor's house, where she has lots of animals, Grandpa let the kids ride his new tractor, plus we spend time in the pool. We also went and saw CARS which I would highly recommend to all to see. My sister Emily has a great digital camera and has been taking pictures and updating her blog to see some pictures go to her blog. Click on her name Emily on our links. She has a great picture of Olivia looking at 3 week old baby horse and Garrett holding a kitten. Besides for a few boo boos (Garrett has scraped up his feet pretty good and feel off the bed and got a nice scratch on his forehead) and an allergic reaction (Olivia decided to take one of the kittens from the neighbor's house and rub it all over her face and she broke out into an itchy rash all over her face and neck. Thank goodness for medice) things are going good. The best news of all is that Jeremy found tickets and will coming out to spend a week here with us and flying back with me on the same flight home.

In case you didn't know...

In case you've been left out of the loop, some of us in the Brunner clan have started a little photo editing contest online. Those of us who are going to the reunion next month who want to can take a digital image and manipulate it to look funny. Here's the link to the contest:

If you want to be invited to join the contest, let me know!

HERE IN WV

The kids and I are in WV. WE arrived Thursday morining around 10 in the morining. We took a red eye flight. The kids did really well but both were really tired. Garrett started to be really cranky. They both slept on the first flight. We were on the first plane and starting to take off and Garrett was looking out the window and kept repeating "Wow, Look!" I thought it was great that he was so excited. The guy in front of us didn't. He turened around and said "Can't you control your kid? I have a busy day tomorrow and I want to get some sleep." I thought he was a big jerk. After he turned around and was so rude to us, Garrett got upset and cried loudly for the the next 1/2 hour before he went to sleep.
So far we are enjoying our trip. We have got to swim in the pool and jump on the trampoline. Plus Granpa even took the kids on the four wheeler. I didn't bring the digital camera. But I am taking lots of pictures on the regular camera. So look for picture of our trip later. I will be here until July 12th. I LOVE SUMMER VACATION!!!! I wish Jeremy could have come with us.

Dance Recital

Olivia had a dance recital today. She danced to a mix of 70's songs. She had a lot of fun even though Robin and I didn't really enjoy it. There were 24 different dances and hundreds of people. There didn't seem to be any air conditioning either. None of the digital pictures I took of her actually perfoming turned out at all but we're hoping some we took on film will turn out better. We wanted to leaver after Olivia performed (Garrett was a bear and Olivia kept whining), but her teacher gave a guilt trip at the beginning about how it is rude to leave while others are performing. Robin and I are thinking this might be her last time in dance for a while. We're going to look into getting her in an art class in the fall.

Just Another Day At the Pool

We've got our pool set up since it's so dang hot here. Today, we thought we'd take some pictures of the kids playing. These ones do the best job of showing how much fun they all were having (The other girl is Taylor, our neighbor).

We were inspired by Betsy's blog

Betsy's family had crawfish so we thought we would have lobster. This was Olivia's idea. We had plans for a simple lobster, but we added the motor and a second claw that opens and closes as it moves. The kids played with it for days.

Garrett started it

We caught Garrett doing this and once we took a picture Olivia had to join in.

Kindergarten Preschool Graduation

Olivia graduated today from preschool. They had a cute little program with 3-4 songs and with each child receiving a diploma. I didn't catch her actually getting the diploma with the digital, but I'll post them when we get them developed off the other camera. Olivia did such a great job sitting and singing! We're so proud of that big girl!

Hullabaloo

Olivia and Garrett have been having a great time with a game called Hullabaloo (from the makers of Cranium). The game comes with 12 pads of different colors, shapes, and pictures. It also comes with a talking contraption thing that calls out instructions. The instructions say things like "Skip to a blue. Swim to a food. Crawl to a musical instrument and pretend you're playing that instrument." Here's a couple of pictures Robin took of us playing tonight.
