Neptune Park

 I had to work this week and the kids haven't been back to school so Jenn helped me and took the kids to do some fun activities.  She took them to Neptune park and they had fun climbing the pyramid. 

Lake Day

We spent another Saturday at the lake.  It is always so much fun and so relaxing to be in the lake. 

 

Rainstorms

We have had several hard rainstorms and flooding in front of our house.  We even got the kayak out and played in the water near our house. Luckily the water just stayed in the front yard. 

 

Bowser

 Garrett bought himself a Bowser Lego set.  It looks pretty cool. 

Pretty Toes

Jenn and I took Andi to get our nails done before school starts again. 

 

Canyon

We went up to the Sawmill Picnic area in AF Canyon for dinner.   We were lucky to find a spot.  

When the kids were littler we had them take a picture on this rock. 

 This little chipmunk kept coming up to us. 

Swimming at the AF Rec Center

After berry picking, Jenn, Andi and I went to the pool.  The pool felt so nice on such a hot day. 

 

Berry Picking

We went to McBride's Briar Patch in Mapleton to pick berries.   Olivia, Garrett, Andi, Jennifer, and I picked about 16 pounds of raspberries and blackberries.   We love getting fresh berries.  

 

We made berry cobbler, and crepes and served them with berries, berry shakes, and berry ice cream and we still had berries left over to freeze.  This is a Gluten free cobbler. 

Park Hopping

We had so much fun at the splash pad earlier in the week that we decided to explore and find some more fun places and we went to 3 parks today.

Stop 1: Ivory Park in Lehi

I saw this one as I was driving Devin to his job.  This is a really fun splash pad with lots of fountains and and a little river.

Stop 2: Highland Splashpad 

We went down the road about 5 miles from the first one. This one had a good stream and some rocks to play on. 

Stop 3: Cedar Park

This was not really a splash pad but it has a real stream that you can play and it is next to a big playground.  We stopped and picked up lunch to have a picnic and then she played on the playground and we both played in the stream. 

I think today wore her out.  It is 5:30 and she is sleeping on the couch.   We had a great day together. 

FSY

Devin got to go to FSY again at BYU Provo.  He had an amazing week. 

He was excited that his friend, Shawn, from school was at the same session.
