Day 2: Fort Desoto

 We had to drive across the bay to get to the Fort Desoto  State park.  There was an old fort there that was built in the late 1800s that we got to explore, plus a great pier to walk on, and of course the beautiful ocean that we got to swim in and enjoy.  The sand on the beach was so white and soft.   The kids started finding shells that they wanted to keep.  Garrett also found a sand dollar while snorkeling. Unfortunately it broke on the way back to the hotel. 

Afterward we went out to Eat at PoFolks.  It was a southern eating place. We wanted to eat somewhere where that we couldn't eat here in UT or in WV.  This was goo food.  Everyone enjoyed their dinner. 

Florida Day 1: Tampa Zoo

 We went to the zoo right after we landed in Florida. 

Got to love the signs that say watch out for Alligators. 

The zoo had some fun rides that the kids could ride. 

There were so many lizards everywhere. 

And of course we took an ice cream break. 

One of the highlights was the log ride where you got splashed a whole lot.  

The Mantee's were really cool to see.  

This Gator blends in pretty well.   

They also had huge rays that you could pet.   

They had a baby rhino that was pretty cute and some pretty cute baby monkeys that I didn't get pictures of.  It was a good first day. After the zoo we went and picked up Mom and Dad from the airport. 

Going to Florida

 We left really late on Sunday night to catch a flight to Boston and then a flight to Florida for Spring Break.  We were so excited to go to Florida to see the beach and to see my Mom and Dad

Easter Egg Hunt

 

We also did our traditional Easter Egg Hunt.  I had plastic eggs filled with Candy.   Jenn and I took the eggs to hide them at a nearby park and then Jere brought the kids to come and find the eggs.  It was a beautiful spring day.  It may have been a little hot and the candy may have gotten a little melted.   

Easter Egg Coloring

 I boiled eggs and we did our traditional color the eggs.  I will make devil eggs tomorrow to go with Easter Dinner. 

Andi's Date Night

We started the day by going to get pedicures at MTech.  Then we came home and got Jeremy and went to Wendy's and Cafe Rio and lunch at Shay park.  Then we went to the dollar store for her to pick up some treats.  She choose...a unicorn, fairy wings, side walk chalk, flowers.  

Farm Country

 The weather is finally starting to warm up.  I got tickets for Farm country and took Andi and two of her friends, Brooklyn and Addison. They had so much fun doing the pony rides, tractor rides, and feeding the animals.  

Aprils Fools

 For April Fools day, Devin and Andi covered the table in the morning with all of the stuffed animals.   Andi also hid my blender for a fun prank.   Got to love a good laugh in the morning.
