Fall Break: Red Canyon

For Fall Break we decided to spend a couple days in Bryce Canyon.  I think it is one of my favorite places.  On the way there we stopped at Red Canyon for a picnic and some exploring.

Andi's Date night

Andi is always so excited for her date nights and she always has grand plans.  She wanted us to take her to Mod Pizza and then to go get crumble cookies and then see a sun set and then go to the Dollar tree.

I think it is funny that Andi wanted to go to Mod Pizza.  She has never been there.  Everyday, we drive by Mod Pizza on the way to work.  Every day she asks about it.  So She finally got to go and she loved it.  We tried to go and see the sunset but it was too overcast so we didn't get to see one. But we did get Crumble  to take home and share with her brothers. We did take her to the dollar tree.  She got to pick out 5 things.  I think she had the best date night.

I love that we do this with our kids.  It is a great way to spend 1 on 1 time with them.

Last Month because we were in Quarantine, Devin's date night was doing Door Dash from Denny's  and eating at home.   I forgot to take a picture.

Fall Colors

Jennifer and I took Andi up American Fork Canyon to see the Fall Colors.  We have been wanting to go for a really long time, but we were in quarantine.  But we finally made it up there this weekend.  It was the perfect day.  It was beautiful up the canyon with all the vibrant colors.   Glad I got to spend the day with Jenn and Andi.

Lunch with Andi

Andi wanted me to do her hair in a bun for school.  At school, on some of my rotations I have lunch the same time as Andi.  I go and eat lunch with her on those days.  I love being able to see her.  She is always so excited to see me and give me hugs.  This is an added bonus that she is at my school this year.

Covid-19

Yes, at our house we had Covid 19.   On Friday, Jeremy came home from work with a sore throat and Andi came home from school with a cough.  That night they both got worse.  Andi coughed all night long.  Jeremy woke up with a cough, fever, chills.  They went and got tested for Covid-19.  They tested positive.   Then we started our 14 day quarantine.  We tried to isolate and keep away from each other. We set up a table for those of us who didn't have covid to eat.   I sanitized and cleaned each night.    Jeremy stayed sick for the entire 2 weeks.  He was miserable.  As you can see in the picture Andi is feeling much better and decided to cover Jeremy with every available blanket because he was so cold.

Sunday, Garrett had a sore throat.    I had a sore throat too.  He said his throat hurt so bad he couldn't play his trombone.  We went and got tested on Tuesday.   I was negative and Garrett was positive.   Luckily for Garrett it didn't get worse than a sore throat.  Andi had a lingering cough for 2 weeks but no other symptoms and didn't act sick after 2 days.

We are all back to work and school now.   We made it through Covid, isolation, quarantine.  We thank our Heavenly Father for blessing us that we got through this time and for his tender mercies.

IF I Build a Car

The librarian read this cute book to Andi's class.  After she read the book she gave the students a paper to design their own car.  Here is Andi's picture.  Her car has her driving and the car has a dance floor and disco balls for entertainment.  We are in the back holding watermelons.  And what car wouldn't be complete without fish and turtle tanks.  I love her imagination.

Picking Raspberries

On labor day, we had that Monday off, so we Jere and I took Andi to Mapleton to pick Raspberries.   It was a good picking day.  We go about 6 lbs. of berries.  They were delicious.  I made 2 raspberries cobblers, we had raspberries with oven pancakes, and I froze three bags.

Labor Day: Pineveiw

The weather has been so hot.  So we decided to go to the lake again.   Jenn was able to come but Olivia had to work.   We got up at super early to make sure we got a good spot because we knew it would be crowed.  We got their at 8:30 and left around 4:30.  It was such a nice day.  The kids found a log to play with, it kept them entertained for a long time.   Garrett also found an old buoy and brought it to shore.  On the way home we stopped for shakes and took one to Olivia.

Bows

Andi has decided that she wants to wear bows in her hair to school every day.  I have to admit she is super cute those bows.   She even put bows on her favorite unicorn snowflake jr.

Another Day at Pineview

We drove up to Pineview again to spend the day with Olivia at the lake.   Pineview is only about 15 minutes away from where Olivia lives now.    We wanted to do one last fun thing before school started.   It was the perfect day to be at the lake.   Love having all four of my kids together and doing fun things with them.
