Splash Pad

We went to the splash pad to enjoy playing in the water on a very hot day. Garrett's comment was "I don't remember this being so small"

It has a small stream with rocks to play on and a water fountain that sprays lots of water.   A fun way to spend the afternoon. I know by 2 oldest are getting a little big for things like this but they were good sports and Andi and Devin had a lot of fun!

Andi's Fun

Andi is so much fun. She loves to laugh and giggle. And she can find fun in small things.
It was Devin's turn to unload the dishwasher.  I look over and this is what I see.  The two of them working together.  It was just so cute.  She loves to "Help"

She loves to sit on anyone who is laying on the floor.
She love playing in the water.  This is her friend Axel.
She enjoys playing with the beach ball.

This is my one of my favorite pictures of her. She looks so happy!

Devin's First Scout Camp

Devin went to his first cub scout camp.  I had a meeting I had to go to, so Jere stayed home with Andi.  So we didn't get to go with him.  But he had a lot fun shooting BB guns, archery, canoeing.  I think the excitement on his face is evident.

Free Concert in the Park

Every summer we our city has a free concert at Neptune park. Last year Jere and I went without the kids but this year we decided we wanted to take the kids. It is family friendly plus they have fireworks afterward. It was a fun evening.

Livvy met up with a bunch of her friends.

The band was The Party Crashers

Shay Park

There is a new park in my neighborhood. It has a lot of fun play things there. It also has a nice walking path so for our morning walk on day we went to the new park and walked and then we played at the park. Even Olivia thought it was a fun park.

Temple to Temple

For a YW activity, they walked from the old Provo Temple to the new Provo Temple which is about 5 miles stopped in the middle at BYU for ice cream.

Diamond Fork Hot Springs

We took the boys on a 5 mile hike to the Diamond Fork Hot Springs up Spanish Fork Canyon.  It was a good hike.  There weren't very many steep parts and it was mostly in the shade.  The springs and water falls were a lot of fun.   Livvy kept Andi at home but I think they would have liked it too.

And of course we met a snake.  I decided to stay on the rock as it slithered across the path.  eww...
Funny story:  Jere and I decided we wanted to hike to the hot springs for our anniversary.  Jere took the day off work.  It was a beautiful day.  We packed picnics and water.  The hike started out great the weather was overcast but it was so nice. Half way through the hike it started to rain, then it started to pour, then it started to pour and there was a quite a bit of Thunder.  We thought maybe we could wait it out.  We didn't bring ponchos. After waiting for about 15 minutes under a tree for some protection it began to rain harder.  We decided that we should go back to the car.  It rained all the way back.  We were soaked and freezing but we made it back to the car.  As we drove out of the canyon there were blue skies all the way home.

We are glad we came back another day to finish the hike.
