Flower Garden

My flower bed is overgrown with weeds and grass.  My bush and tree are a little out of control. But without any help from me (well expect that I planted it several years ago), I have a very pretty flower growing.   When I saw it, it made me happy.  It almost made me want to go and work in my flower beds. 

Cowabunga Bay

My kids are water people! We love going swimming, playing in the hose, going to splash pads, and going to Water Parks. It is awesome!  Devin could go on all of these slides and didn't need any help.  There are lots of fountains and dumping buckets. There are small slides and big slides and they even have a lazy river.  It is a little pricey but I learned if you go on Tuesdays it is two for 1.    Jenn and her friend Sarah Ann went with us.  It was a perfect day for a water park. Jere didn't go this time but I think he will come with us next time.

Monster Truck Ride

Yesterday,we had a BIG surprise for the kids.  We took them to the Saratoga Splash Days and let them ride a monster truck! It was so much fun.  It was 5 dollars per person.

We asked the driver to make it extra bumpy.  We all were yelling and screaming having a great time.

They all wanted to go again but we told them once was enough!

I did enter to win a free birthday party from them.  Now that would be a cool birthday party.  But I know the chances are pretty slim to win.   :)

Highland Splash Park

I took the kids with my friend Kendra and a couple of her kids to the Highland Splash bark.  The kids love being in water.  The great thing about this place is that is free.  It was a little crowded but no so crowded that it wasn't fun.

Afterward we went and got Frostys at Wendy's.

I love days in the sun and playing in water.  I am the only one who got burnt.  Apparently I didn't put enough sunscreen on my back. 

Ducks

We went to Springville to feed the ducks.  There are a lot of ducks and lots of different kinds of ducks.  There were also lots of fish in pond. You would throw bread to the ducks and the fish would come out of the water to get it. 

They really wanted the ducks to come and get the bread from their hands but they never did.

After the duck pond we went out to eat for lunch.  We were having a hard time picking a place that everyone wanted to go.  But we finally decided to go to the Pizza Factory in Provo!  The kids loved it.  I ordered them each their own bread sticks (They were amazed a bread stick on a stick).  Then the pizza came out in the shape of a dinosaur for the kids.  Each kid ate all of their food.  They can't wait to go back.   

Daddy Daughter Science Fair

For the Father/Daughter activity we planned a science fair. We had 12 stations set up with interactive science things at each station. It was a lot of fun.

We also had slime, Getting Iron out of the cereal, a picture station where the kids wore lab coats and goggles, coloring mixing trays, we were going to do diet coke and mentos but the weather was not cooperating.  It was a fun activity for the girls and their dads. 

Train Tent

Devin has a Thomas the Train Tent.  He really likes to play in it.  The other day I went in and he was inside the train sleeping.  He now sleeps in his train at night as well.  So cute!  He is almost to big to sleep inside of there.

Deer

I looked out the window, and I what do I see?  Devin looking over the fence at a deer in the field.  So Cute!

Last Soccer Game

This past Saturday was Livvy's last soccer game! She loves soccer and she is pretty good. She is fast, she is a good defender, and she is a good mid fielder, She kicks really hard. She had an really good coach this time and taught her a lot. On her last game she scored another goal. That makes three goals this season. They won their game 5-2.

Last Day Of School

So much changes in one school year! Olivia and Garrett both had a great year. May 31st was their last day.

May Sayings

Olivia: "It was the worst night ever! Devin came in and slept in my bed, kicked me out of my bed, and he snores like an elephant."

Garrett: "Mom, if I give you two hugs today does that count for tomorrow."

Garrett: Jeremy told Garrett he needed to be more clear on his tickets, that they should say only good for one day. Garrett replies, after I gave him a ticket to set the table, "I am not doing tickets next year, I am taking a year off."
Garrett: "Cows don't eat hay."
Dad: "What do they eat?"
Garrett: "Grass."
Dad: "What do they eat in the winter when there isn't any grass?"
Garrett: "Beef." (He says he was kidding)

Devin: "Mom, I want a real parachute so I can jump out into the sky."
Devin: "When are you going in a hot balloon again?"
Devin: He went and got himself a bag of fruit snacks, and then started playing Mario on the DS. Then he says to me, "Mom, I get a fruit snack if I win and I get a fruit snack if I die." Then when he wins or dies in the game, He says, "Here's a fruit snack for me."
Devin: "Mom, I only like to wear soft pants." He didn't want to wear his jeans.
Olivia: She made a cake for mother's day, she said, "I handmade the cake, Mom"
Garrett: Talking about a 1000 piece puzzle, "It looks harder than it looks."
Olivia: We were helping her study for her science end of year test. We asked her, "What is a conductor?" She replies, "The guy who drives a train."
Devin: He climbs into my lap, kisses my nose and says, "Mom, You're Cute."
Devin: We got Little Caesars Pizza for dinner. He asked, "Did you get silly bread to go with it?"
Garrett: While reading a book together about Jupiter's Red Storm Eye, he turns to me and says, "Mom, it's a storm with a mind of its own."
Devin: "Mom, my after dinner job is watching T.V. downstairs."
Garrett: He came home from school and asked, "What does I am sexy and I know it mean?" Some kid heard it on the radio and was singing it.
